Hi Jamie- So sorry to hear you are still hurting so much. Yes, do call your doctor. I know if it was done laproscopically there is an incision that they do major work in, but I wouldn't think you would still need pain meds. Please let us know how things work out for you. Pam

I called my MD, they said it was just because it was still imflamed, It is really uncomfortable, but i know that i make it worst by lifting my toddler (28lbs). I really have no choice in the matter. he is going thru the terrible 2's and man is he getting bad. He will drop on the ground so that i can not grab him to correct him (no nothing physical) like when he steals some thing that could hurt him..aka keep away from mommy. This is just killing me! I wish he would behave so i don't have to pick him up so much. Jamie

Yes, lifting 28 lbs will defeat the healing process! I was told to lift no more than 10 lbs. Difficult situation! Hopefully you get some extra ehlp at sometime each day?? Good luck!

PS - Don't lift the baby! That will strain your ab muscles and make it worse. I have a toddler too and I just letter her sit until she gets bored and gets up and then put her in time out.

I've had the left side "burn" too and it sucks! My doc told me it takes 4-6 weeks for the insides to heal. The pain has gotten much better over the past 3 days. What helps me is sleeping propped up on a reading pillow, using a heating pad and hot baths. Hang in there !

Hi I also had Dr. Pupkova and was told NO tub baths for 3 weeks, I know that burn pain it felt like there was a fire inside. Thank God it went away. It will go away
