my wow moment
Thought I would share this with you all ((((((((hugs to you all))))))))))
ok so i got up this morning to go to church and thought what am i going to wear...my everyday clothes are looser on me( like i don't have to lay on the bed to zip up my jeans)
sooo i went into my closet and put on a red suit i bought just prior to my surgery and it fit me very form fitting...........MUCH TO MY SURPRISE IT IS REALLY BAGGY AND LOOSE ON ME...................SOOOO
then i started going to way in the back with stuff that i haven't wore in a few years and AGAIN TO MY SURPRISE THEY FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM ON CLOUD NINE.
YIPPEE! It's so wonderful, that feeling of going back in time. In just 4 weeks, I'm back into clothes I was wearing the summer of 2005. After that, all I have to wear is underwear- too scary! Not looking forward to shopping for new clothes though as everything feels so temporary. Keep on your downward spiral!
Congrats on your WOW moment! It's a GREAT feeling...now you need to go through everything and know you can get rid of the larger size clothes. *S*
Prior to surgery, I went to quite a few garage sales for smaller size clothing for the fact that I wouldn't be wearing them very long. Also, a girl at works roommate was going through her closet and wanted to know if I wanted the clothes she was getting
rid of. Let me tell you, this girl is a shop-a-holic! I got 6 garbage bags stuffed full of
clothes.
I took the family shopping this weekend and my girls and husband got a few things. Hubby asked me if I wanted to look for me, but I told him in a few more pounds I would have a whole new wardrobe and it was already weighting in my closet! I'm looking forward to clothes I've always loved but haven't worn in a while. Then, when those are too big....watch out!
I am soooo happy for you. I know that before surgery I only had a couple things I could wear and even then I was not comfortable. When I got up the courage to try on pants that I haven't worn in 3 years I was so overwhelmed I broke down into tears - I could not believe in just a few short weeks I went from not being able to get them past my knees, to zipping them up without sucking it in! I have a closet full of business clothes and several still have the tags on them that I am waiting to try on - first I have to get the nerve to walk up the flight of steps which is hard because I am having terrible joint and knee pain. But - I know I'm gonna make it up there and soon - I just have to remember to bring up the tissue box with me to keep my shirt from getting tear soaked....
Oh and here in NJ we have Goodwill stores where you can buy all kinds of clothes, shoes, handbags, etc...super cheap and sometimes the clothes still have the tags on them. Check out http://sfbay.craigslist.org/about/cities.html sometimes you can get free stuff there as well!
