ugh...gross question

Hey guys. I had open RNY on the 18th. My first week was pretty good. Walking drinking walking drinking. All was well. The last few days have felt like crap. My stools are white. I just started my vitamins on day 10 out. I am hoping that may help. Anyone else have this prob? My first follow up is Monday..ie two weeks. My doc is out of town till then. Thanks... Stacy

White? That's very odd. Did the surgeon leave a number or something that you could call while he was gone? Like someone covering for him? I think you should try and contact someone. That just doesn't sound right.

Hey Stacy- You need to call the office or the hospital you had this done at. There will be someone you can talk to. There are a few different things that could cause white bm's. But you really need to be evaluated and get your levels checked. I had the white mucusy bm's the first week, but have moved to normal bm's since then. Let us know what the doctor says. Stacy, you have the same surgeon as me....have you tried calling Karin while Dr. Warnock is out of town? She may be able to help. I have her number if you need it. I'm just a week out now and I feel pretty good. What are you feeling (besides crappy)?My first post op appt is Monday too! Donna

I had not called no. My bm color is coming back since my iron pills are getting into my system. I really think it was that. I am feeling better...more energy etc. I just wondered in passing if anyone else had encountered this problem. Thanks, Stacy
