Hi everyone, Well I'm back home now with what my husband calls my "frankenbelly". My RNY was open, not lap hehe. Anyways, it hurts alot but so far, no regrets at all. This all doesn't feel much different than when I had my hernia repair 4 years ago and somehow, my two c-sections in the 80's...recovery was way tougher back then, than this. My husband was shocked over the small amount of time I was in surgery, 30-45 mins total. My blood pressure was a little low in recovery, but I always seem to have low blood pressure whenever I'm in the hospital. It was hard to get comfortable in the hospital because I could never sleep well on my back, but once I was able to sit in a chair, I felt a lot better. I'll post up some pics as soon as I can as well. Good luck to all with upcoming surgeries! Donna

Donna So glad you are back home and on the mend. Considering my c-sections were 18 & 23 years ago, I am remembering I did a whole lot better with them, but I will attribute a lot of that to age... I am having trouble with sleeping on my back too. Sometimes half asleep in the middle of the night I have rolled over to my side only to have my tummy remind me that it doesn't want to do that yet... Hopefully soon.. Get the staples and drain out Thursday..yeehaaa!! Keep us posted on how you are doing... Big Ole June Surgery Buddy Hugs!! Donna

Donna! Congratulations! I have a frankenbelly too! *S* Glad all went well for you and the only piece of advice I have to help with the back pain is walk, walk, walk. Take care and keep up posted! Pam

Thanks for the replies and good wishes everyone. I'm feeling better every day! I already don't need my pain meds anymore and walking does indeed help. Hugs to all, Donna
