Medicare denied SMDC for Center for excellence ...working to change that

Medicare reviewed my hospital/clinic on Jan. 4 2007 to become a Center for Excelllence and I found out Friday AM through my nut that we were denied. SIGH! It took me about an hour to re-group and to center myself for my support and enthusiasm for SMDC which I think is an awesome facility to have my potential WLS attention dealt with. I found out through my nutritionist and she said they are al- ready working to establish an approval. I think my surgeon and his staff are awe- some and I eagerly look forward to continue my journey for myWls at SMDC...I am very comfortable there and am confident all will work out and we can move forward. I look for continued encouragement not only for myself but for all those waiting and for SMDC. I know once we get past this all will be great...blessings and hugs, Amber
