Since I began my WLS journey I have been quiet and non commital about my thoughts and concerns regaurding my progress. I just became a member of OH on Sunday, June 17 and have become reborn within my enthusiasm about my surgery for the lapband which I have been waiting on since I was approved, Feb.1,2006. Medicare must approve me and hasn't approved anyone until my hospital and clinic become a Center for Excellence for Bariatric Surgery. After reading the many posts and replies I am once again excited to continue the exciting path towardnd my surgery. Please give me as much encouragement as you can towards the success of such a long wait. I support all of you and wish you the best on your continued journey. I look forward to one day becoming a member on the loser's bench. Thank you and a big hug, Amber.

It will happen. I started the process in August 2006. Had my first visit on Jan. 17, 2007, and surgery is now scheduled for July 17. It's finally approaching and quick. Everything does fall into place. It's going to happen for you.

Fonda... This is exciting news. I am so happy for you in having your surgery. I hope all goes well and that you will have a surgery without any problems. This morning I saw Lisa, my nut, and she gave me the news that SMDC was not accepted by Medicare as a Center for Excellence...that there are a few more areas that need adjusting before acceptance. It was a minor let down but I remain optimistic that it will all come together. It only took me an hour to re-focus and I am more determined than ever to work on any issues I may have concerning pwn process for the WLS...in the mean time you take care and I will have you in my thoughts and try to keep track on your WLS ...Take care and blessings, Amber.
