Surgery June 26th, I'm a newbie!!!

Just wanted to post something on here to get started with the message board. I have done my preop and all is set for my surgery on June 26th (next Tuesday)!! I am very excited but so nervous at the same time. I am scared I will still be hungry afterwards or not do as well as some people. I just don't want to go through it all to end up failing in the long run. I want so badly to be healthy and I hope I have the success like some of you I have read about on here!! I am so far away from my family and friends out here in Texas with my husband who is in the Army so I am looking for support from anywhere that people will be positive about my decision. Hey Crystal, What part of Texas are you in. I am in the Fort Worth are and am set for surgery on the 25th. I know how you are feeling. Just remember if God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. God Bless! Donna

Welcome! My surgery is the same day These boards are great for answering questions, sharing victories, or just whining. One thing about this surgery is that EVERYONE loses weight and I can't wait to be one of the losers! Melissa

Sounds like everyone is just as excited as I am!!! We will definately have to keep in touch and encourage each other! This is something that most of my friends don't quite understand, so it's nice to make new friends that you can share experiences with! One week from today.... I am still kind of freaking out... but so excited! My mom will be here in Killeen on Saturday. She is flying in from Jacksonville, Florida (that is home for me). I will actually be moving back to Jacksonville in the very end of July, and will continue care there with a surgeon back home. Talk to you guys soon!! ~Crystal
