So, I had my Lap RNY on Monday (6/11). I was scheduled for 11:15am but I was taken back at 12:15pm. They knocked me out immediately because I was histerical crying. I remember waking up in recovery and them telling me to take deep breaths. I must say, I have NEVER experienced PAIN like that before. I was totally regretting what I had just done. The pain continued all day on Tuesday. Wednesday it was much better. I was discharged and home by 11am on Wednesday. I basically slept the entire day. Thursday I was like a new person. I was up early, got myself and my daughter dressed & I even drove her to school (1 mile) Friday I went with my husband to Target and today I hit the mall by myself. The only pain I have is when I cough, which seems to be every hour or so. So now my plan is to be back to work on Monday. I am sure I can do it. I stopped taking all pain meds on Thursday, I was only taking 1 percocet ever 6 hrs if needed. I will let you know how it goes. Best of luck to all that are yet to go!!! Amy

GOOD for YOU! One day of pain..sounds surmountable! I like the idea of getting right back into the swing of things. Two more sleeps for me and I hope I do as well as you. You are good inspiration..Congrats!

YAY Amy!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad to hear that everything went so well for you! Congratulations on becoming an official LOSER! It's great you don't have the pain. I'm having open, so I'm sure I'll be hurting. Just remember, you will more than likely experience some tiredness. I know a friend of mine was exhausted for a month and a half as her body got use to this. You take care of yourself and keep up the great work, all that walking in the mall will do your body good! *S* Pam
