Best of luck to you Howard! Having confidence in your doctor and knowing you're in good hands makes things so much easier. The only bit of advice I can offer is to walk as soon as you can after surgery, and continue to do so...even when you don't really feel like it. It makes a big difference in your recovery! Kath S.

Dear Kath, Thank you for your advice- will do so. My doc also says, walk, walk, walk. How long are you post op. Did you hav much pain?

My surgery was June 4th, so I'm 10 days post-op. Pain has been minimal, nothing like I was expecting. I had my gall bladder out a couple of years ago, lap as well, and it was WAY worse! I'd say this has been more uncomfortable than painful. I've only taken pain meds a few times since I've been home and that was because of a headache. Like the old saying, it's usually never as bad as you expect! Kath S.
