I'm home
I'm officially a loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was finally released from the hospital this morning. My surgeons thought I would be able to go home yesterday because my surgery went very well and apparently, I'm very healthy. However, I had a bit of nausea on Thursday night so they gave me same anti-nausea medication through my IV, and it knocked me out like a light (at least I got some sleep). Unfortunately, I also had a slight temperature of 99 degrees on Friday morning so they wouldn't discharge me yesterday. Everything was running like clockwork this morning so I finally made it home.
The incision on my left side hurts the worst, and I think I overdid it when I got home because I was determined to shower (I felt icky), but I think it wore me and my incision out. I'm taking Vicadin (sp?) for pain, but I'm trying not to take them unless I have to. Other than that, I'm just sore around the largest incision and in my back on the same side, which my doctors said is normal.
Mostly I'm just glad to be home where the beds and chairs are more comfortable!! Hope everyone else is doing well on their recoveries/pre-op diets/etc.

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! YOU LOSER! Congratulations! Glad to hear you are doing well. I have heard in the lap surgery that that is the incision that does hurt the most because that is the one that they use the biggest of the instruments and move around more.
Get some rest and sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk. You'll feel better in NO time!
