I had lap RNY on Monday, home yesterday. Doing pretty well. Pain is tolerable with the pain meds. I ended up with a JP drain, but better the drain than a seroma I guess. Was doing well with the clears in the hospital. Now today trying to get in all my protein from full liquids seems a little daunting. I'm sure it's just going to take some time to learn how to adapt to life with my new pouch. So far so good. I haven't weighed since prior to surgery. I lost about 18# preop on Optifast. Thanks for everyone's prayers and well wishes. Good luck to all who are almost there!

Congratualtions!! I'm so glad to hear that everything went well and you are on the way to recovery. It will be a lot of work, but I know you can get your protein in. Good luck.
