Side effects PLEASE LET ME KNOW

Helllo, I had my surgery 1 month ago and I still have a strange taste in my mouht and I always feel like if at all any food I try to eat sits in my throat for AWHILE. Has anyone had theae issues? Also any food I try to eat doesn't taste right and I have no urge to eat. I still get a feeling like I want to be sick at times. Thanks for your response, Jill

Hello there Jill, Don't worry, you are just out of surgery, your body is trying to adjust to the "shock" it just received. In the beginning nothing appealed to me either, all foods would make me sick, the smell of foods did too. I think thats a good thing because that way I didn't have any of the crazy food cravings. Also, that strange taste could just as well be the anesthesia side effects until it goes away. Give yourself time. I am almost one year out, and some foods make me nauseous just looking at them, like donuts, I can't stand them, but before surgery, I would easily eat 3-4 of them. Hope you feel better.
