I am on day 5 of 12 of my slimfast high protien and/or boost glucose control shakes. I am drinking 5 a day and eating nothing :-0 I am drinking tons of s/f coolaids....every now and again I think I am going to fail, but I just walk away from what ever the temp may be.....my day before my surgery I can switch to an all clear liquid diet and do the magnesium citrate. I am looking forward to the bullion. Hot and salty! Anyway, it is definately a struggle at times. I am however, failing at the exercising. I do have a treadmill I need to clean off. I guess that is my goal this week. Take care and God Bless!!

I'm doing the lo carb - hi protein and have lost 13 pds. That is wht Ineeded to lose for surgery. I have less than 3 weeks - but I'm still trying to lose more. Water or drink with my meal is what I miss most. I have pd attention to chewing and I know I used to gulp big hunks of food. Disgusting now that I think about it. Carlotta

I have been on all liquids till surgery. I have been drinking Isopure. There are a lot of flavors online like cookies and cream and ones that dissolve completely. I found them at supplemenwholesaler.com and they are about half of what they sell for at GNC. I also bought a book called Exodus from Obesity about the surgery and the emotional aspects of it.

I've broken my caffeine habit, stopped all soda's (decaf ice tea w/ splenda is my new favorite), I cleaned out my pantry and fridge, and bought (and started) an elliptical machine. I start my liquid diet on the 4th and I AM SCARED! I've read other posts where people are just weak and tired. I'm lucky that I'm off right now, but I don't want to sleep all day. My plan was to lock myself in the gym. My poor family. I know I am going to be beyond cranky!

We are all doing fantastic!!!!! I also am excited and nervous but I feel I have more control now that I am proactive with diet and exercise, great idea about the ramkin dishes and spoons that I will have to get. Tracy
