Is anyone else having lapband surgery done on June 18th? Any chance it's in Mexico?

Are you nervous? I'm more worried about not being able to eat bread again than having the surgery. But I'm totally excited that I might actually be thin one day soon!

June 18th - but in Seattle. I still have my Cardio Clearance - but EKG was totally normal - so it shouldn't be a problem. Getting anxious! cj

I'm the 18th too. Where in Mexico? I had my LapBand done w/Dr. Ortiz & I love him. I had some esoph. problems not related to the band & now my insurance is better, so I'm going w/RNY here in New York. Good luck to us! Karen

Hey Karen, Sorry, just saw your post today (June 1st). How long ago did you have the lapband done? And how come you're going in for RNY now? I'm feeling pretty good about Dr. Ortis and his team (considering I have never met them). His reviews have all been so positive, and my girlfriend is coming along to make sure I don't leave with one less kidney or anything! I see your sister is having surgery the same day. My sister says she's gonna lose weight "the natural way", and I wish her luck. She's lost a bunch of weight before, but it came back. Maybe after she sees her "hot older sister" in a year from now she'll reconsider. I'm bringing a girlfriend to Mexico with me - a little moral support, plus she'll get to see a bit of Tijuana. I had asked my sister first, but she's too cheap to spring for the tickets - oh well. Anyways, good luck with your surgery. Just over three weeks from now and we'll be on our way to permanent weight loss. Keep in touch & let me know how things go.
