Anyone else with 6/18 for lap band?

I would like to keep in touch with any banders with similiar dates. Perhaps we can share experiences - successes and problems....(hopefully none or very few of those) CJ

I completed all my tests. The only thing the when i did the Endoscopy i came back with bacteria in my stomach so i have to take medication for 2 weeks and then I'm done that why she schedule me for June 19. By the way it nice meeting you too.=)

I don't have to do the endoscopy - but the upper GI series instead. I'm not sure what it entails other than to drink some colored stuff that shows up. I have to lose 12 pds before 6/4. I've got 6 more....grrrrr. Did you have to lose 5 % of your weight before surgery? cj

Endoscopy, is the upper GI. The GI they put you to sleep and it takes like 5 mins it not long at all. No i didnt have to lose any wight. I wight 215lbs but im very short am only 4"11. What about you??

I'm 5' 5" - 251. On my little booklet there is an upper GI series - which he checked and then and endoscopy which he did not check. MY PCP nurse told me the endoscopy they put a scope down you and I think with the other one they give you something to drink and look at it...but I don't have any medical background - so i don't really know. where are you from?

HI carlotta I also have a june 18th date only 31 days to go. I'm starting to get a little nervous, but no plans to delay surgery except my youngest son has to have some surgery in the near future just hope it isn't scheduled for the same day as mine. It will be especially hard because he is in Oklahoma and I'm here in Kentucky. But the odds of both of us being scheduled the same day is not very probable. I hope. Keep me informed of how you are dealing with the WAIT. Char
