June 22nd...

My surgery is scheduled on June 22. It seems so far away, still. I fought an insurance company for two years, though, before changing in January. I am happy it's coming, but also very apprehensive. Anyone else feeling apprehensive?

Hey Wendy, first of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your date! It's not very far away at all! You'll be a LOSER before you know it! I don't really think I'm apprehensive about the surgery, more of how much time will I have to be off work, I have a GREAT boss who is willing to let me work from home after I get the okay from the surgeon and they will courier my work to me. So, that's good, but I'm a single mom and will only get paid 1 week at 100% and the rest at 60%. I've started saving now, and I know I'll be fine, but it does make me apprehensive in that way. The surgery, it's what I HAVE to do to be healthy. Take a deep breath when you feel it and know you are on the road to a healthy you! Take Care, Pam

Hi Wendy, My date is June 14th, and yes, I am feeling that apprehension too. Don't get me wrong. I really want to do this. It is just a little scarey sometimes. Stay away from the memorials board. That is what really put me on edge. I just keep telling myself that the risk is minimal compared to all the benefits. We'll just have to support each other.
