Looking for surgery buddy
I am having my surgery on June 8th, and like the other people here would love to share my experiances. Are you doing any pre-op preperation? I am supposed to loose 35 lbs. and feel like I am not holding up my end of the deal . I'll just have to try much harder, because I really want this to work for me. Maybe we can encourage eachother to get as healthy as we can so the surgery goes smooth. I'll make you a deal, I'll keep you posted if you keep me posted okay?

Hi Richard
If you read my profile you'll see that I have sort of changed trains mid track. I had lost more than the required 8-12kg (I lost 14kg) that the previous doctor required when I was ready to start Phase 2 of only pureed liquids, but since I am now waiting until April 20 to see my new surgeon I'm cheating on my programme again seeing as I figure in my overweight rationale - that I can start my programme hard again about two weeks before I see him. Beating myself up emotionally about that as well.....Old habits die really hard it seems. I've always been a great loser of weight - but lousy at keeping it off - so I know I'll do well again when I'm back on programme - but it's the mental aspect of it that constantly amazes me. But I digress - to answer your question my pre-op schedule was to lose 8-12kg then do Phase 2 (purees) for 2 weeks then Phase 3 (just liquids) for another week. The previous surgeon said to me that the more weight I could lose before the op the easier it would be for him to perform the procedure - so I know it's in our best interests. I don't want any unnecessary complications because I'm self pay and those will cost me money!
I'm sure Norma, Vera and you and I can keep each other honest! Look forward to talking some more.
Best of luck with the prospective new arrival btw.

Hi - My name is Neisha. I am scheduled for surgery in Ensenada, Mexico on June 20th. I can't think of anything else! I would love to share experiences with all of you. Please stay in contact. We need eachother. Like I told someone else, "Noone really understands, either all my friends are thin and have no clue about this or overweight and envious" so I can't share my fear, excitement, joy, etc. with anyone but you guys. My computer at home doesn't work so every spare minute I get I am rushing to a computer to see what My OH friends are up to. Hope to hear from you. Neisha
Hi, I'm Esther and I would love to be your buddy too. I get my surgery date today and I was told it would be sometime in June. I am 59 years old and weigh 275 and look forward to walking easier, buying clothes in a normal store and having improved health. We can help each other get through all the anxiety of surgery and the worries that are normal. Just remember that we are doing this to save our lives.
I'm here for you!
Consider yourself hugged!
