hello again surgery 06/06/07

Hi Karen: You are right, we will have it the same day. As I told you before, mine it will be done in Bolivia, South America. My Insurance would not cover me in US, therefore I had to go back to my home country to have it done. Cost is 25% of what it cost here in America. Are you having a Gastro by pass too??? hi norma im just having the gastric band fitted, we dont have health insurance here in ireland that cover cosmetic surgerys even though i think weight loss surgery is a life saver, were way behind when it comes to health cover in ireland i have to travel also outside my country im having surgery in belguim its 50% cheaper in belguim then in ireland because ireland has only started doing the surgery i have done no preparation at all so far waiting for the doctors orders .................karen

We have something in common...a postponed surgery date! We can encourage each other...it is difficult to have a date...be on the 10 day liquid diet and then 1 hour before leaving for the hospital get that call..."the insurance won't pay". So now I am waiting for a new date in June...most probable around mid June (I hope!) Good luck to you as well! Vera

oh vera im so sorry to hear that , i would be hopping i will be praying for the earliest date possible, i hope you gave them a piece of your mind do these people not realise how much pressure they put you under just give me one minute on the phone with them they would be wishing they had another job if you need to talk just e-mail me ok i really wish you the very best of luck talk soon...........karen
