Hi Jennifer, I was feeling that way for quite a while. I do find I need more sleep now than in the past. I changed from 50mcg of B12 to a pill that contains 1200mcg. That made a lot of difference. In fact, my last blood test showed my B12 was at the upper range of normal. I've heard the energy drinks are really hard on your liver or kidneys, can't remember which (and I am certainly not well educated in that department). Hopefully, it will be something simple like the B12. Congratulations on the gold star! I don't think I would fair as well with your NUT. Lori

Topic: Tired!!
Anybody else still experiencing low energy this far out?? I had my bloodwork done in Jan and everything was within normal ranges but my B12 was on the lower end. Dr said to switch from BComplex to B12 which I am starting this week. I am wondering if that will make much of a difference. Every morning its a struggle for me to get out of bed... I was never like this before! I get home at night and I am just exhausted... I go to bed at 10am and I am asleep before my head hits the pillow. In the afternoon I am ready for a nap... I read because of the bypass we can experience sleepyness after meals but that doesnt account for waking up tried and wanting to die at the end of the day. Working out does give me some energy but only for a few hours after the workout and then I am crashing again... I can only workout in the evenings otherwise Ill be asleep at my desk. Just wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions or ideas?? I dont want to restort to energy drinks unless I have to I have been eating properly, well balanced meals and stay away from processed (fake) foods... I eat a lot of fruits, veggies, protein and water and my NUT gave me a gold star on my eating. Thanks!

Thanks everyone. I will call my surgeon. Although, I haven't seen my surgeon since I left the hospital after surgery. I do have low potassium, so perhaps that accounts for some of the nausea. I thought maybe you all would have good ideas as to what I could try to eat. I will try and see the surgeon and not just the P.A. this time if I can. I really want to feel better...not so sick all the time. Sher Lo

That sounds so discouraging. See the doc and try to keep your spirits up. Hopefully they will do some bloodwork and maybe a scope to see what's going on. Good luck and get well soon. Lori

You look great! Somehow it isn't fair though that your hair looks longer and fuller than your before picture. I am sooooo jealous. Lori (aka wispy)

Happy Birthday Robin. You may be older, but I bet you are feeling younger than you did on your birthday last year. Am I right? Lori

Ouch! Both knees at once. That is going to put a crimp in your style. I will definitely send prayers your way. Good luck for a speedy and uneventful recovery. I am sure that the outcome will be worth the aggravation though. Take care. Lori
