however it seems when I try something new I run into trouble

I'm doing well. I reached my goal of 135 just before Christmas and I've been between 131 and 134 since then. Right now I'm 132 which is 100lbs down. I made appts with 2 plastic surgeons in April and May to discuss some issues I'm having. I'm doing well with exercise and vitamins, up and down with the food and water. I've been having some stomach pains lately so I'm trying to be a little more careful with food. If it doesn't go away soon I'll call my surgeon. Mostly I'm working on maintaining and finding a happy balance.

Hi Karen,
I have been doing like you and Lori, I have been cheating here and there, munching here and nibbling there, I havent been doing as much excerise but I am good on the vit and water. I am down 93 pounds I thought I would be in onederland by now, I am losing slow, slowly but surely I am coming along. I have found out nothing makes me dump I am sad to say.

I don't pour myself anything to drink with my meals, but I will admit that I'll usually take a sip or two of my kids milk after I'm done eating.. just enough to taste it and wash the food down my throat. No more than that though - or I get a tummy ache.

I had my surgery June 27, 2006. I feel great! I'm down 93 lbs. Hope to be in onederland soon!

Hi Everyone. I'm fluctuating between 195 and 197.. until today which was 198, probably because I've been eating garbage lately. Not sure why or what the heck I'm thinking... I need to get back on track here and now. My gym membership is getting cobwebs on it, so I need to get to that as well. I have a meeting with my Supervisor today to change my work hours so I can come in earlier, get out earlier and get my butt to the gym.
I can pretty much eat whatever I want in small quanities, which I am thankful for..but it can also make me feel like I'm failing because I don't have a lot of will-power. Yesterday I had 2 chocolates from a candy heart I gave my husband... I know before I would have had a whole box to myself.. and not the small box either, but I don't know why I felt compelled to have the 2 I did... addiction right? If I get to 193 I will be at the 100 lbs lost mark..so I'm going to try to focus on that and get back on track. I can't help sometimes feeling like I'm going to fail at all this though.. I need to toughen up!!!!!
Thanks everyone for sharing.. Not that I want anybody to struggle at all, but it's nice to know that we are all going through some of the same feelings and concerns. Hopefully we can help each other stay on track.

Hello all,
I am down to 189, 19 pounds from the doctor's goal...I'd like to see 150 myself. I am happy with what I've done so far. My arthritis makes exercise difficult but I really try to be active. I cannot afford a personal trainer but that is my goal. I am doing Ok on water, although it is hard when I teach (no time for bathroom breaks). Vitamins are good. Support groups are a must. Eating works but worry about getting a well balanced diet - think I am eating too many carbs. Oh well, I am pleased with how its going...even the stalls.
Just got a report of a suspicious lump on the breast - again, so I am going to have further tests done. YUK.
