Topic: RE: Where are the JUNE BABIES at?
A physical location get-together? I'd be up for it if I didn't have to go too far. We don't have money for airplane tickets, and we're in Montana, which is close to nothing.

I check it out often, but not really a lot happening on the board. I miss ya all. I've been really busy also.
Heaviest weight 316 ish, first consultation in April was 308, and surgery weight on June 8th was 303. I am now between 173-178, depending on the day and time of day. I've always fluctuated with my weight. I try to weigh in at school at 3:00 each day and was at 175 on Thursday. However, I was at a conference all weekend and didn't eat correctly.
My doctor said he would be happy if I got to 170 on my initial consultation, so I am really happy. My goal has always been 150 so that means I have about 25 to go. Wow, I cannot believe that. I need to update my profile. I'd like to see more current pictures.
I'd still like a June get together, but don't know if anyone else is interested. What do ya think?

I started at 288... time of surgery was 252 and am 180... my goal is 155. Im with you on the slowness... Jan I lost 10lbs, Feb I ended up at 5.. this month I lost 1lb then it found me again!! My NUT told me to expect about 5lbs a month until goal... its frustrating because its so close yet so far away!!! Im going to buckle down starting this week and aim for a great month this month!
Topic: RE: I got approved!
I have an appointment with a surgeon in May to get the process started... when I called the other day to make the appointment they said I needed to be at goal and maintain a steady weight for 2-3 months before they would operate... from what Ive heard the earliest most will do is 1 year but they definately want you to not be in the losing phase still!

No, just my Extended TT is covered. BTW, that is a HUGE 'just'! I will pay for my BA/BL and vertical cut. It will cost me about $8100. Depending on the insurance company they have different protocals. Some require 100 pounds, 1 year out, or I even heard having an apron to your knees!!
Then of course some of them will only do the panni or nothing at all! So all in all, I am very lucky and happy!

Hello all of my June buddies. I am somewhat of a lurker in this forum. I check what's been posted almost daily, but haven't participated much. I will try to do so more often. I started off at 278 and now am at 178-179. I have been stalled here for a while, but I know the reason why and need to get back on track with my eating. Congratulations to everyone on their weightloss so far and good luck in the future!

Congrats Robin,
Is your insurance covering both? I am a little suprised because I thought that most surgeons required that you wait at least 18 months after your surgery before having plastics. I guess everyone is different.

congrats! My insurance had a written exclusion for wls so i had to self pay. i seriously doubt they pay for plastics! youre very lucky!!! I consulted with a ps and he said he would want me to wait until i was at my goal weight for a YEAR. i was like whoa. but i can see his point, in about 3 mths my stomach has shrunk up a good bit.. it might some more i hope! But my boobies are seriously deflated
Hope it goes great!
