Hi Jennifer!
Yeah I agree with you,it is good to know others are going throught he same issues, makes you feel a lot better knowing it is not something your doing wrong.
now about that belly fat....urghhhhhhhhhhhh....that is where ALL my excess weight is now and it is driving me up a wall!! I hate it,it is like my gawd I have lost so much weight and then I look at the tummy and makes me sick to see it!!so don't feel bad your are NOT the only one!
I guess now that we are at the final stretch, the hardest part of the losing,it will happen just have to hang in there!
I think with summer around the corner and getting out and going more places it will make a huge differnce with more walking and excercise.

Hi Michelle!!!
We were lucky and sold the home in December,we are friends with the new owners and they are letting us rent it out until we found a home or for 6 months (June)when they will start the work on the home.
They are very aware of the water problem and are going to sink a ton of money into it to fix it, I knew we were not going to stay here much longer as I said we have been looking for a ranch for a long time so I had no intention on putting money into fixing it, thank goodness that worked out with getting it sold, honestly I was worried about it!so everything has worked out well for us to this point.
I am glad that you got back on track and you are SO RIGHT about this surgery being a tool, you have to know how to use it for it to work, just like a shovel unless you pick it up and do the work,it is useless.
I will keep an eye out for your post about the new job!is it the sheriff position?? I hope that you have found what you are looking for and all works out for you,man you have had a tough time of it with what happened and I wish you all the best,my prayers are with you!! be sure to keep me updated!
((hugs))

Hi Michelle,
I agree with the others. You have already answered your question in your post. Your inner self already knows the path you will take (doesn't that sound profound )Anyways, your pros list for leaving is a lot longer than your pros list for staying. Who knows, your next insurance provider might cover your panni, and then you would feel like you wasted a lot of time, worked very hard, and had very little to show for it in the end.
Good luck with your decision and the next step in your life.

Oh, well, personally (and I can't tell you what to do), I would take the package then. My experience with corporate america is after they used you up (ie. working an extra year), they don't feel they owe you anything. They want you to turn down a great severance package, work 3-4 people's jobs for the same pay you are getting now? I wouldn't think so! If you can get a great severance package now and it's relatively easy for your husband to get the insurance you need for you and your son, I would spend the time with your son now. As you said, you can always work as a temp if you need the money. Sounds like you are leaning this way -- I would do it. They aren't doing you any favors by offering you a overworked underpaid job.

Shame on your dad! What do guys know about weight anyways?? My "skinny" friend weighs 180 (shes 5'9") always tells guys shes like 135 and they dont know any better! Id tell your dad your goal is to have a "normal" BMI... that is more important than any number on the scale!
Youd be surpised how much difference getting plastic surgery can make... my friend just had 3 rounds of it... she was 150-160 (5'7") and a size 10/12... shes now a size 6!!!!!! Not sure on her weight yet because she is still swollen from her last surgery. So far shes had her arms done, circumfrencial TT, thigh lift and a lot of lipo... shes going back for her boob job and touch ups on her arms later this year! She didnt have a lot of hanging excess skin... her arms were still huge, legs were a little saggy and her belly wasnt bad at all - I am amazed that she is now a 6.. she started at 380+lbs and was barely fitting into a size 28!

Congrats on your loss so far. Its hard that you have so many responsibilities on your shoulders but you have to make time for yourself. We just spoke about this in my support group Monday. They said you have to "pay" yourself first everyday... the surgery is a gift and your body is a temple... you need to treat both as such! Its good you picked up a tape to do at home... I know its hard to find time but if you can find just 30 minutes a day to exercise that would help you so much!! If that means waking up early... cutting your lunch time down or staying up late... you need to make yourself a priority and fit it in!! Work your way up to longer... even if you can only do 15 minutes twice a day - its better than nothing!
Stay away from the diet pills... shame on the Dr for offering... they only mess up your metabolism and are not good for long term weight loss. The point of this surgery is to give you a tool to use and to learn how to eat properly... not take diet pills and get your heart racing and not eating! Im sure your surgeon would not agree with you taking pills this early out from surgery.
My friend had surgery 6 years ago in May. She started at 388 at 5'7" with a goal weight of 150-160. It took her about 4 years to lose her weight and she never reached her goal but was within a few pounds. Id say after her first two years she was down to around 200ish and it took her another two years to get off about 40 more pounds. Not sure what your surgeon told you to expect but I think you are doing great!
Keep in mind the reasons you had this surgery... its hard being a mom to put yourself first but Im sure you had your child in mind... wanting to be around for them and healthy and able to play... so take some time for yourself to lose more weight and get healthy so you can be around for everybody that depends on you!
