Wow, I'm so glad it's not just me (although I'm sorry you're going through this!). I just wrote my nutritionist regarding the same thing. I am snacking non-stop! I am so hungry all the time - an much hungrier than before surgery, but am too wondering if it's carb related for some of it. I know I Need to get back to basics and hopefully my nutritionist will give me some advice for that. I just can't believe how much crap I seem to put in my mouth. It's crazy! I want to keep losing.. but at this rate I'm not going to see it. I also need to get my butt back to this board more often for some motivation and support. I'm sure we'll get through this..we are talking about it, so that is one good thing! Blessings, Kim

I'm right there with you too. Last week I took the time to preplan snacks and meals and things were a little better. But my teenagers are now out of school which is wreckign havoc on my sleeping patterns, which is encouraging me to grab comfort food. You are in my prayers!

I know you are a little apprehensive but do enjoy this time. I would love to have the guts to do this. Enjoy your little man while he still enjoys you!

Hi Brooke, May I ask where you got this DVD, Walk Away The Pounds? It sounds like something I can really use.

Well I know most if you don't know me but after having the surgery and getting my life back I haven't had near as much time to post as I did when I first started researching this wonderful tool. I had RNY with Dr. Carl Lowe in June 14, 2006. Since my first consultation I have lost 164lbs. I am wearing a size 10!!! I weigh 170. I feel great and no longer have to take my high blood pressure medicine. I out walked my husband at the NASCAR races for the first time year. I just wanted to post and tell everyone how wonderful things are going for me. Those of you who know me know I had a very rough start but things are great now and I continue to eat very high protien and low carb and continue to lose towards my goal of 150. To all of you just begining, remember 2 things. Stick to the plan and don't get discouraged. Use this great gift and do the hard work because it pays off. Oh and I posted new pictures from the races. My pictures in Mark Martin's pit compared to the last time is drastic. Well wishes to all, Shannon.

Congrats to you!!! I cant believe its already almost been a year... not too much longer until my surgery-versary! Everything has been going great for me... I have just 17lbs to go to goal... Ive lost 80lbs since surgery... 116lbs in total! Its definately gotten tougher the closer to goal Ive gotten but I am hanging in there! For exercise I do cardio 4 days a week... one of those days is a 5K at a local park... weight training 3 days a week and yoga once a week.... Im going to start swimming some in the evenings now that the weather is nice and the pool is warm! I will post new pics once my 1 year hits... I have already looked into PS and am hoping to to go for the first surgery by the end of the year... the surgeon wants me to be between 145-155 and have maintained for 3 months so I need these 17lbs off!! My surgeons office has asked me to come and speak to people about my WLS experience and answer any questions people looking into it have... I felt very honored that they asked me and love to be able to share my experience with others and answer questions that I know the surgeons just cant answer since they havent had experience. Anyways... thats about it for now! For my 1 year surgery-versary treat I am going to the Grand Canyon and to Las Vegas... maybe Ill win enough to pay for all this PS! haha

Congrats on your loss Brooke! I've hit my goal at just around 100lbs down from my first consult with my surgeon (115 from my highest). I'm preparing for a tummy tuck on the 26th. For exercise I walk for 1.5 to 2 hours 3 days a week and lift weights with a trainer 2 days a week. When I was actively losing I was walking 7 days a week plus the 2 days a week with the trainer.
