Hon if they don't call you, call them and call them and call them, until they have a answer for you! There is nothing worse than having something going on and "waiting" for the phone to ring! I quit doing that,I give an ample amount of time and then I start calling and hounding,a lot of times you get "lost" in the paperwork, messages etc.... keep after them until you hear something!! Prayers coming your way! Nanc

Hi Kristin! I am not sure if you maybe clicked on the wrong year for the june board,we all have just had surgery this past June and are only 5 months out,so I don't know if any of us can really realate to your problem at this early stage,But I am sure as I will give my advise others will jump in with theirs to help you best we can. First off, congratulations on your weight loss! I can see you have found where your problem lies and what you need to do in my personal opinion only is call your Nut or Dr. and make an appointment! write down everything you are eating don't skip one single thing, or their help will be useless, they need to know, even if you are cheating!! and go over everything with them and whatever they give you to do..DO IT!!!! I mean that in the nicest way! you have come soooooo far and worked hard to get where you are,you are not a failure, you can still do this!!! at first it may be hard, but think of what you are doing and why you had this surgery in the first place, and get yourself back on track, don't look back at the weight you put on,that is history!!look at the weight you are now,set goals and be determined to do this no matter what! you are worth it! Please come here and we can help get you through this, post your feelings like you did today and let us help! we are not pro's at this, as we are all in the learning stages but this is a good board to come to since you are going to start fresh, start it with us,I can tell you that this board is full of the GREATEST people you will come to know and you are welcome here anytime and hope that you will stay with us!!! forever! Please keep us updated! ((hugs)) Nancy

Topic: i'm failing!!!
Hey everyone. I'm completely freaking out. I had gastric bypass June 05' weighing 267. I had a blockage this summer so I couldn't eat very much so I went from around 192 to like 173 in about a month! So a few of those lbs came back on late summer. I withdrew from college in september because I was depressed and eating fast food and wayyy too much of it. I was eating and drinking at the same time therefore getting a lot of food in! And definetly was grazing all day long and skipping classes. So anyway i came home and i'm living at home with mom and dad and trying to do a lot better. But i went to my doctor's today and the scale said 190!!! Its been like 17 months since surgery and i only went from 267 to 190?? I'm still wearing size 12 pants. I mean granted I've been focused more on my weight the past couple weeks so its not magically going to disapear but i just get so hungry!!! Do u guys get hungry?? I mean if i have lunch at 12 I could def eat again at 1. Is that normal? How do i stop the hunger pains and the empty feeling? I just feel like I never should have had this surgery in the first place. I'm failing at it and it's bringing me down. I'm only 23 years old and I just want to be at my goal! (150) Help is appreciated

Thanks Nancy, you are so sweet. I am still waiting for Kaiser to call me. I just want to schedule the appointments so I can find out what is wrong. DH keeps calling me to see if Kaiser has called and I keep having to say no. I am noticing that I am urinating less. Normally I go 2 times after I drink a 20oz bottle of water. I only went once today and not the normal amount. Maybe I am retaining it somehow. I appreciate your concern and will let everyone know what is happening. MichiGirl

1. Were you tempted by the Halloween candy? Did you partake in any? (remember be honest, we are only here to help) Tempted all day long. Did not partake in any though. Another Halloween miracle. 2. What are you doing different for Thanksgiving this year since surgery? Nothing different. I only expect to eat a lot less and get up from the table a lot sooner. 3. Have you started your Christmas/holiday shopping yet? Nope. Probably won't get going for awhile. 4. How close are you to your driver's license weight? 111 pounds overweight. My lying is shameless and full of bravado. 5. Are you having any problems sleeping? None. Sleeping more soundly now than I have in years.
