My surgeon said for up to 6 months people can feel exhausted... its because your body hasnt adjusted to the surgery yet. I had surgery 2 days before you... I still have a hard time getting up in the morning... once I do I am fine until the afternoon... I "run out of gas" around 2-3pm every day. Now that its winter I am ready for bed at 8 at night... I have to force myself to stay up until 9. When I had my blood checked last month everything was *perfect*... surgeon said to just give it time. Ive resorted to drinking Tab Energy drinks in the afternoon to make it thru the day. No matter how good I eat, take vitamins, exercise it doesnt help this tiredness...I cant wait until it passes!

Well, my weekend was eratic because I was at a Mothers of Twins convention. When I ate it was good things, but I didn't eat as often as I should. I had 3 appletinis (2 Friday night and 1 Saturday night) but only got mildly buzzed because Friday night I was dancing like a lunatic all night! So I guess I got in some exercise!
I'm off to see my personal trainer today and I'm expecting to HURT! Wish me luck!

Topic: How was your weekend?
Food wise, my weekend was very good. Ate well and stayed on plan, with one exception. I went to Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico with a friend. We had a blast. However, I drank alcohol. Tequila straight up was my poison. I had about four shots. I had a nice buzz that quickly spiked but eased down. It felt warm going town. I immediately chased it with some water, watch cooled my stomach down.
I have really tried to obstain from alcohol. I'll occasionally have a glass of wine when I eat Italian food. I soon found out that I tend to go past my eating stop point when I drink and end up feeling very full and not comfortably full.
As for exercize, I walked alot in downtown Tijuana and danced alot Saturday night.
Have a nice day all!
Ben
P.S.
I am going to start posting the What did you eat today (WDYET) posting the day following the day we report on. For example, on Tuesday, I am going to post the WDYET Monday, and we will post our information for Monday. That way, we can be exact on what we ate and did for exercise and not what we would probably eat or do for exercise. Hope that makes sense.

Topic: RE: I am FREEZING!!
Count me in too!! I used to wear short sleeves all winter (in New England!) and never feel the cold, but I've been wearing long johns, fleece socks and gloves for a month already! My husband thinks it's hysterical. He used to sleep with extra blankets because I'd turn off the heat and open the window in the middle of the winter and now I'm turning the heat up, stealing the blankets and wearing my long johns under my flannel pjs! I don't know what I'm going to do in January and February when it REALLY gets cold!
Of course we'll be much happier next summer when we're not sweating to death!

Traci and all,
I forgot to mention to you,Your doctor can send you for a bloodwork test to see what your B-12 level is.You might want to ask him if he can order the test for you.
I have to travel 25 miles to the clinic for my shots and thought that I could maybe take the pills instead and I had asked both my pharmacist and Doctor about the pills and both had the same reply that the pills will not work for what we need after Bariatric surgery and they would do absolutely nothing to help, now every doc is differnt, since the clinic is a bariatric clinic with bariatric doctors and specialists, I take their word for it.
I get my shot every three months. There is a shot you can get once a month too,if your levels are low.
hope this helps!!
Let us know how you make out!

So far I can deal with hunger by sucking down lots of fluids, thereby having to wait another half hour to eat. Most of the time I'm not hungry anymore when that half hour is up.
Best wishes to you, and realize that you have kept 77 pounds off. I'll bet that is as much or more as you ever lost before!

I hear you... except that mine are just my kids... 8 and 6. They run me ragged (but in a good way). I just want to feel like moving and playing! Thanks for responding!

Thanks, Cyndi. Sounds like you're as busy as I am! But my tiredness is definately beyond normal busy-tiredness! I'm tired from the time I get up in the morning! I'm going to check out the shots, as well!
