Topic: RE: THANKSGIVING...WHAT ARE YOU DOING
I've concluded that our urge to graze and munch is always going to haunt us. Sometimes it is very difficult. Luckily, I've been able to catch myself before I put too much in my mouth when I do start munching. I am pretty good, however, at sticking to only eating at meal times. Thanksgiving morning I am going to workout, first thing. After that, I am going to have a good protien filled breakfast. Then, I am going to start prepping my dishes. Three hours later, I'll eat a protien bar. When the meal is ready, I'll enjoy my 1 plate of thanksiving meal. I'll first eat the skinless turkey, then the veggies, then the carbs. I'll then help clean up and relax. Two hours later I'll go for a gentle walk. When I'm hungry again, I'll eat some more turkey. That will be all the food I'll eat that day. Friday morning, I will go shopping and get as many bargains as I can. I'll come home eat breakfast then take a nap. Those are my plans so far. We'll see how they work out. Ben

What are you all doing for Thanksgiving? I am reallly not looking forward to it as I think it is going to be very difficult. I just feel like I am going to have a heck of a time not munching - and then being sorry later. I know the family is getting together, with Lots and lots of food. What are all of your plans...how will you handle the holiday.

Topic: RE: How was your weekend?
I really cannot remember this weekend. I know that I ate well, but did go to the movies with hubby and granddaughters on Saturday where I had a sip of soda pop and some of their popcorn. Not much, but a handful maybe. Otherwise, I really watched it. The biggest thing is eating on time and eating enough. Getting my water in is tough also. My biggest problem is the exercise. I would love to hire a personal trainer, but financially, its not going to happen. I am still doing well, but everytime I eat, regardless of what or how I eat, I feel very sick and just awful. It passes after a bit, but its still there. Like I said, it doesn't matter what I eat,or how slow I eat it.

Wonderful news...great. I am fortunate, I've got lots of friends who have grown out of their clothes and give them to me. Unfortunately, I am shrinking faster than I have available friends and will have to look at buying clothes soon. aggghhhh. Oh well, what a problem to have, huh?

Hey, Ben. Have you ever been to Ensenada? That's where I had my surgery. We drove through Tijuana to get there. This may be a stupid question, but... we can drink??? I thought we weren't supposed to have alcohol for a year! I've been dying for a beer , but haven't dared more than a teeny sip of my husband's. I have no plans to make it a habit, but it would be nice to know it can be handled once in a while. TTYL. Traci

Topic: RE: Where is the energy?
Hi, Karen. It's just after 8:00 here and I'm heading to bed very shortly. I'm always asleep by 9 now. I make my husband put the kids to bed because I just can't stay up that late. I know what you mean about choosing between hobbies and bed. I'm an avid reader, but haven't been lately since I can only read a few pages before I'm bushed! I'm going to check on the shots with my PCP this Friday. Thanks for your response! Traci

Hi, Ben. It's good to know that this is normal. I guess I thought everyone had tons of energy after losing so much weight. I hope the next few months go quickly so I can start getting my enery back! Thanks for your reply! Traci PS. By the way, I watched your video on your profile.... very !

Boy, do we sound similar! My bloodwork had me low on iron, so I thought maybe that was the reason... but I've been supplementing with iron for about 2 weeks now with no improvement. Guess we'll just have to give it time and have patience. Thanks for your response! Traci
