Hi Karen, tomorrow is mine also. Way to go on your progress. What a year it has been for sure. I have lost 137 from my heaviest and 125 from surgery. I dont see my Dr again until I go in July for another scope to make sure the ulcer is doing better. I am so PROUD OF YOU. Have a wonderful day.

I'd like to look 10 more pounds for my "goal" that I set up at the beginning, but I'm happy with where I am now also. I don't know how to figure how much this loose skin is. It seems to me to be more than just loose skin -- but I don't know.
Good luck to you at your appointment!

Congratulations on your anniversary!! Are you at goal? My anniversary is today I have lost 103 lbs. with maybe 7 more to go. I think the extra 7 is all loose skin though. I want to have one more baby before I get it removed. Good luck at the docotors and I hope the scale is good to you. I go in three weeks for my one year.

These two might go hand-in-hand or might not. Has anyone had problems with sleeping. I am able to fall asleep no problem. Staying asleep is another question entirely. Maybe there's too much stress and worry in my life (I have two teenagers). Wondering if anyone else has this problem. My PCP gave me a sleep aid but considering I rolling into someone on the road last week b/c I had nodded off in morning traffic, I'm not sure I'll be taking that again. I've started taking 1/2 of a Tylenol PM which was helping but last night I woke after 3-4 hours and it was like I hadn't taken anything.
Energy - mine is up and down. I'm good about taking all my vitamins. Never been diagnosed as B or iron deficient (I get results of my labs tomorrow so we'll see). I think I eat plenty of protein (I haven't been charting on fitday and started again today). Any suggestions for keeping energy levels up (besides sleep which I am doing my best).

And I have a follow-up with my dr. I can't wait to see what the real loss is. By my scale and records, I am down 127 pounds total, 119 since surgery. I feel much better although I do need to get my energy level regulated and start sleeping at night.

Sorry to confuse you. Back in February of 2003, I had a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty. During that time, I weighed 334 lbs. I had numerous complications, and in the end the staple line ruptured. I had lost 90 lbs and my weight was climbing up again. I went back to see my surgeon and he did a revision to the Gastric Bypass. I weighed 307 when I had the revision done. So since the initial VBG, I have lost 147 lbs. Since the revision to the GB, I have lost 120 bls.
