Dont know if you might like this or not but it helps me, slice a banana into little rounds and sprinkle cinnamon and sometimes a packet of splenda on them, kinda like having cookies. Hope this helps

I had WLS on June 29th /06 and have lost 89 lbs, I have 15 more to go, I wouldn't mind a stall right now because at 160 I am anemic and still eating like a 4 week post op. Lots of health issues but still would do it again!!!!!!!

Congratulations Frank!! I'm so happy for you and your wife!! Take all the credit/blame you want. My husband still like to take credit for the fact that we have twins (the fertility drugs had NOTHING to do with it), he thinks his manliness somehow caused it! Carolyn

Congrats Michi!!! Absolutely count those 30lbs! They were some of the hardest fought! I always count my 10 from preop! I'm down 88lbs from preop so I've got 12 more lbs until the century mark. But I know I was in the 240s when I became pregnant with my twins so I'm either 100lbs down from my highest or damn close to it! Carolyn (232/222/144/130)

Since my surgery on 06/20 I've lost 78lb (plus 10 before surgery). It's slowed down a bit in the past few weeks, but I've noticed a marked difference in my muscle tone (I have defined biceps!!) and my pants size. Carolyn

Right back at you Nancy. You were the first person I met on this board. It pleases me greatly that you are still active on this board, supporting everyone and offering suggestions and encouragement. I love seeing everyone's progress knowing that one day we'll wake up, look in the mirror and see the person we've always known we were. Have a great weekend Nancy. Ben

I will eat a healthy choice fudge bar. Soooo delicious. Otherwise, if the craving is too strong, I'll buy some sugar-free chocolate and eat one or two pieces, really, really slowly, savoring each bite and making it last. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I am one of these people who dump easily on sweets. Was type 2 diabetic before surgery. Good luck Lori, that craving can be intense. Let me know what your solution is when you find it. Ben

That's awesome Frank. Imagine all the things you will be able to do with your child that you wouldn't have been able to do prior to surgery. I don't have any kids, but I do have many nephews and nieces that I've helped raise and am very close to. We do so much together now. I am planning their graduation fishing trips and trips to magic mountain and disneyland. When we play catch, I don't sit on a chair and have them throw me the ball. I actually run around with them. The other day, one of my younger nephews touched my belly and told me, "you're getting so skinny." I smiled at him, walked outside and silently let the tears flow. Congratulations Frank. Here's to you and yours building memories. Ben
