I know it sounds funny, but I do 2 things. I always have s/f jello on hand that helps, but if it is really bad, then I pop in a piece of s/f gum. I have never swallowed gum so I don't see a problem with chewing it. It helps so much, it gets my mind off of things, gives me that sweet shot I need and since I am chewing it for awhile, it stops the grazing tendency.
I hope this helps. I do have to try the bananas though too.

Hon, what would we do without you? I need to follow your lead with all of the encouragement and cheerleading. I mean, I always wanted to be a cheerleader but, that was one of those things that my weight hindered.
I do look back at how I was before this miracle happened and back at the posts from before we all had surgery. It is amazing. We are all amazing, extraordinary people. We are there for one another, we support one another, we cry for one another, and we certainly can laugh with one another. We are doing things that we never thought we were able to do and more.
I am all for getting together in June '07. You are all my family and we definitely need a family reunion. Let's start planning now!!!! Sorry, I am all fired up now

I am just so happy for you and your wife. I am such a softy when it comes to little ones, especially babies. I can't wait to see pictures of the little Peanut over the years. It will be the first baby on the June 06 Board!!!!! Peanut will have a lot of Aunts and Uncles to watch over it.
Please give your wife my congratulations and a big hug too!!

I can't tell you how proud of you I am. I am finally seeing a loss after a few weeks and am nearing the century mark as well. I do count my heaviest weight before surgery as where my weight loss began. Save me a spot in that Country Club because I know that there sure is a membership fee for that Century Club and you deserve all the kudos that goes with it!!!!!

Banana, hmmmm, that's a good idea. I have absolutely no imagination when it comes to food. It is probably one of the many factors that got me into trouble in the first place. Keep those ideas coming, because obviously I am not too capable in this area.

Thanks Ben, I haven't come across healthy choice yet, I'll keep looking. Maybe I can replace my sugar craving with a craving to go out and chop some firewood--not likely, haha, but it's worth a try. I wish I liked those pseudo-chocolate protein bars, but they all taste like chalk to me.

I can't believe it. DS and I took the dogs for a walk this morning and I told him I wanted to run from the end of one block down to the other end. So we did. I made it the whole way! I was a bit out of breath but I barely broke a sweat. Oh my goodness! I am going to have to do that again soon.
