Well it's my 1 year surgiversary and I figured I should do a blog entry to commemorate it. If you are interested feel free to take a look. There's a link to my personal blog where you can see my Before and After (or "In Progress" as I like to call it) http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
TY to my OH friends for taking this awesome ride with me. You rock!

Topic: RE: Energy level & sleepliness
Do you drink caffeine at all? Maybe try limiting it if you do. I was having a similar problem with sleep and stress. My doctor suggested relaxation exercises such as yoga, and believe it or not, it really helps. I only do it once a week, but I have noticed a difference. She also made me a copy of a relaxation CD to play at bedtime. (I don't use it every night, but it might be helpful to you as well). I am not the type of person that would have tried these things in the past, but I have really opened my mind to change and have received some positive benefits from learning to relax and take a deep breath when the stress is out of control.

Congratulations! You look great! I wish I would have kept up on my measurements to know the number of inches I lost. That is fantastic!

Hi Karen,
I am definitely more tired lately. I have been anemic though. I am going to bed earlier in the evening, usually around 9pm, sometimes earlier. I was once a night owl. I am restless through the night though.
I don't have any great suggestions for keeping your energy level up. I find that on the days when I don't get out for a walk that my energy is way lower.
Good luck, let me know if you find the magical elixir.

Hi, Amy. Congratulations on your weight loss! My surgery was 6/6/6 as well, and I've lost all but about 20 pounds. I've plateaued for a few months now, unfortunately, and started gaining a little (3 pounds). It's the fault of my (sometimes) lack of self control when it comes to sweets, the fact that I eat out quite a bit with my husband, and that, when I do, I commonly have a glass or two of wine or a vodka and tonic.
Unforgiveable. But true! Anyway, it ain't over til the one-time fat lady sings "Thin at last! Thank God almighty, I'm thin at last!"
Best regards, Lisa

Today I am officially out... down 120lbs total, 84lbs since surgery... only 13lbs more to goal!!!
It has been a wonderful year for me... I look forward to each new day and what it will bring. The biggest change this surgery has brought me is that I now finally feel "normal". I feel I look normal... I eat normal... my relationship with food is much more normal... its a wonderful feeling. Next month my brother and I are headed to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas... this will be my frist vacation in a long time... also my first vacation not being overweight. I look forward to being able to keep up physically, not dieing from sweating to death and not having to worry about me fitting into seats or being too heavy to do an activity. I am very much looking forward to what the future has to bring!
I have posted some new pictures... this past weekend my camera decided to stop working so I couldnt take "official" 1 year out photos but posted some of myself that have been taken over the past few weeks.
Losing the pounds is amazing... but check out the inches!!!
The first column would be from 6/27/5 (at 277lbs) and the second from this motnh
Waist - 47...... 35 -12
Arms - 16.......12 - 4
Hips - 58.5.....41 -17.5
Bust - 52.5.....39 -13.5
