I'd love to get rid of the tummy flap and the thigh/arm flaps, but with two new knees, I am done with surgery.  I hate the thought of surgery and really cannot afford it, but I sure do wish I could wear "skinny" clothes.  I initially lost 150 lbs, but gained back 30 lbs.  I feel great - and am never sorry I got the surgery.  I am so happy for you.  Congratulations.

Yesterday I hit 6 years from my RNY surgery. I am happy to report everything is going excellent. I have maintained my weight loss and havent had any issues thus far.... bloodwork and all that is always excellent. Back in Nov I am a circumfrencial TT with fat injections into my butt.. had a 7 month follow up w/the PS last week and everything is looking great! I still have a little swelling but everything should be 100% healed up by 1 year out. I am excited to report I purchased and wore my frist bikini since I was a little kid... its a little intimidating at first but I am loving my new body. I look forward to many more years of health and happiness and even a few more PS procedures.

I've also gained back some weight, 30 pounds. This June it will be 6 years since surgery and sometimes the weight gains scares me! My knees are pretty bad, so a lot of walking and certain exercises are out of the question...but I can ride my bike! It's hard and the longer out I notice it become much easier to eat more food!

I have to remember to keep telling myself, I had surgery in the first place because being overweight was such a challenge for me and my struggles now does not mean I've failed!! We need to be encouraged, we've come a long way!

So back to some basics...water, vitamins and water, did I mention water? I do notice that when I'm busy, I don't eat so much and a lot of my weight gain is in front of the television. So I also need to make some changes in my daily life. We can do this, be encouraged. I remember when I had 130 pounds to lose, not just 30! I can do this and so can you!! Go girl!!

Looks like this forum is not very active anymore (everyone is out enjoying their new healthier life, I hope) but I wanted to stop by and say hello to my "graduating class" and wish everyone well.

Three weeks ago Monday I had an extended tummy tuck (no muscle repair) lipo and fat injections into my buttox. Everything has been going much better than I could have ever imagined. They removed almost 5lbs of skin... at 3 weeks post-op I still have swelling but the scale has gone down around 2-3lbs so far... but amazingly enough my inches are the same (Dr said it will take 2-3 months for most swelling to go down). I had to go buy bigger panties (lol) and I cannot wear my pre-op pants... stuck wearing yoga pants for now... am close to being able to fit so I am hoping by the holiday time I can wear 'normal' pants. I havent gotten back to any form of exercise but am hoping to start walking some this weekend, I have to keep it low key for at least 6 weeks.
Its strange to look down and see everything so flat... its also strange to have a butt... I am looking forward to going shopping and wearing some different styles I would *never* wear before. Im also already thinking about having some more procedures... now that my stomach looks good other areas that I thought wernt so bad before look wrose... am hoping to have another procedure next year, well see. I have to pay for everything out of pocket and as anybody knows who has looking into PS it isnt cheap!

I am wondering if there is anyone else out there that is struggling too? I have put back 35 pounds and feeling so upset with myself. I have started walking again and drinking more water wasnt getting all of it in each day. Wishing everyone a wonderful evening and way to go to all that are doing well. Take care.

Thank you. Today is a very special day for me because I can look back and say 5 yeaars ago today I did it and I maintained it for the last 5 years and I'm still trying to improve and build off of what I did. The TT will be the final stage and then I will have realized my dream and a life goal to be normal and feel normal. Thanks for the support it makes me feel good. I hope you are doing well to and keep up the hard work and you will see how much it is going to pay off.
