Topic: RE: I don't like pizza anymore!
I loved pasta!!!!!!! Yah not so much anymore I find that I don't even want it. DH hates that because he is a BIG pasta lover and well I don't want anything to do with it. I have found that I love salad w/chicken or fish on it now. I NEVER liked fish before sugary. I could eat that everyday! Can't say I have tried pizza yet from some reason I just don't want too! I have found that there are a lot of thing I ate before sugary that I just don't have a taste for anymore!
Topic: RE: Anybody else hitting a slow time?
Definitely slower this past month!!!! I have only managed to lose a few lbs this past month. Also I have to say I have been a bad girl because I have been slacking at the gym. I also know I need to eat more (most days I'm only eating around 650 cals) I am trying to get more in but I'm just not hungry! I am sure we will all get there its just going to take a little time!

Make sure you're eating enough calories during the day. We've been conditioned our entire lives to eat less to lose weight. The reality of the surgery for many is that you really want to focus on getting in your protein and making sure your calories are at least 1200 per day. That along with the water and exercise may help keep major stalls at bay.
In reading Nancy's post from last week about not wanting to eat anything I can certainly identify with that. I've gone from a major meal planner to not really caring what I eat because nothing is particularly tasting good right now. Challenges me to be creative and try new combinations and spices (last night leftover pork sliced into small bites tossed with peppers and onions, black beans, and some low fat alfredo sauce. Doesn't look good when I type it, but did the trick.).
Also, try to weigh no more than once a week. You didn't lose two pounds because you were "good" and didn't gain two because you were "bad". Kim said it best. Our bodies are adjusting. Keep working the program. We'll all get there.

Definately slower this past month... Seems I keep losing 3, gaining 2...losing 3...gaining 2... and have only managed to lose a few lbs this past month.. very very slow. That's when I start wondering..is this it??? I can't imagine not losing more though if my daily caloric intake is still under 1200 a day ..(1200 on a bad day..usually less).. I hope it's just our bodies adjusting.. I still have 50 lbs to go!!!
blessings,
Kim

Jennifer
I've been having stalls since month 2.
I will go two weeks without losing, then the third and fourth week I will lose around 10 lbs.
Now the last month I have been going about 3 weeks without losing and then losing about 8 - 10 lbs in one week.
I've gained 2 1/2 lbs in the last week.
I'm hoping and praying it will just be a stall again.
Dr. B said we are going to have stalls and that there is no way we are not going to lose the weight. some are just slower and some are faster than others.
Good luck and keep up the good work.

Now that our 6 months is fast approaching and the honeymoon period is comming to and end has anybody noticed a change in their weight loss? I am a lightweight and had 100lbs to lose at the time of surgery. I am down around 50lbs (yay me!) but this month I lost 3lbs, gained 2lbs for a total loss of only 1lb!! My average loss per month so far has been 7-8lbs so to only have 1lb is somewhat disappointing. I am hoping this is just a slow month or my body adjusting to everything its been thru but I wanted to see if anybody else has had the same experience. Just a bit nervous since most people experience a slow down at the 6 months. I have 50 more lbs to lose and would love to be at goal by the time my surgery annerversary comes up!

French Fries... I loved me some french fries! Now I find they dont taste as good and something with the texture doesnt agree with my pouch all that well. Also anything over fried... like chinese food chicken.... something again with the texture (and dryness) doesnt agree with me.
As for pizza... I still love that!
