) What is your favorite holiday show? Don't really have one 2) What are your goals for the new year? To get to 150 pounds, to go skiing, to continue exercising 3) Does your significant other help out around the house and if so what do you prefer them to do? (if you could choose) Not much help from spouse. That's why I got a maid -- after all, I work outside the home also. 4) What is the one food you feel "not guilty" treating yourself to since surgery? I don't know - I don't really thing about "treating" myself and food anymore. If I want it, I have it if I feel like it. 5) What is your food weakness and does it make you sick now? Carbs, sometimes 6) Do you exercise less now than just post surgery? More 7) What was/is your one wow moment that you will never forget? My niece said I looked younger at Thanksgiving.

Hi Nancy, I am the complete opposite. I get mine like every two weeks, its horrible. I would love to have your problem. Even on the pill I wasn't right so I stopped taking them. I was going to ask my doctor in two weeks at my appt. but he's male and I feel a little funny talking to him about that since he has no idea what I'm going through. I agree with you about the whole thing being weird but I also understand that our bodies are going through alot and it's going to take time for them to adjust. Even though I'm on the other end of the spectrum I hope this helps so your know your not the only one with issues. Hope you have a great day!! Karen

Melinda, if you can't keep water down you need to see your dr. Sometimes you can be overfilled and just a little out will relieve things. Sometimes fills can kick in a few days or even a week later. You need to go back to fluids for a day then mushies for two days after a fill. But your dr will have specific instructions regarding this. Yes, things can get stuck. You have to chew, chew, chew, chew! And eat very slowly. If something does feel 'stuck' do the chicken walk... walk and flap your arms around. But do follow the advice of posting on the lapband forum... lots of experience with this there. Sharyn.

Hey, send it to Houston. I'd at least like something pretty to look at to go with this freezing weather!

Mine have been irregular until I went on the Nuva Ring. Now they are closer to clock work but I do miss them from time to time. Your body is in starvation mode so you are probably not ovulating.

I'd like to thank all of you who offered your kind thoughts and support during this difficult time. I was going to thank each of you but I thought I'd share what I said at her service instead. I want to tell you about: The Kitchen Table How would you put a friendship of twenty years into simple words? ...... ...... It seems that so many of those years were spent sitting at a kitchen table, talking about everything, our children, our partners, work, politics... I think we covered it all. We gossiped... and plotted to overthrow the system as every good social worker does... We argued a lot too. And that is what part of friendship is all about: agreeing to disagree and still being friends. Sometimes there was a blatant lie or two, when one knew the other was wrong. Sometimes... and that is what it's all about too. We watched each other's children grow and shared in their joys and sorrows. We helped each other through life's dramas and held each other in times of tragedy. There were hard times when the phone did not ring but the truth was always found in knowing the other's phone number and knowing there would be no hesitancy to answer. We were both independent, bent on success, with or without the other, The point is, when one had success, it belonged to both of us. Two days before Carol died we spent the day and night together. We reminisced, we laughed, we argued, and we sat in silence. We drank coffee and smoked too many cigarettes, just the way we always did. Now an empty chair stares back at me, silent, full of love and hope, telling me to be what I always was. I am so thankful for building twenty years of memories with a friend I had learned to love at a kitchen table. I miss you with all my heart Carol. Take care everyone, Sharyn

Hi Girls! Are any of you having problems with your periods? If you remember in July I had such cramps I could not stand it,well I have not had a period since then! going on 5 months! NOT that I miss it!LOL... I talked to the doctor and he said it is VERY normal and could last as much as a year or more due to rapid weight loss, but it will start again,he said the cramps I had were from hormonal changes(I thought there was a tie between the cramps and the absence now he said no way connected which is good thing Just wondering if anyone else was going through this?? this is just weird.............. ((hugs)) Nancy
