Topic: 5 Months out...
As many of us Juners are hitting 6 months, I just had my 5th month out. I feel great, having some issues in terms of recognizing my own body. I'm so not used to seeing a small version of me.
I've updated my photos on my page.
Have a great weekend!

I was on the depo shot... was due for another one in July. A few weeks after surgery I started spotting (I was on the depo shot for 2 years! Never spotted). After that each month I was getting PMS (sometimes cramps, tender breasts) for a few days... no period or spotting. I havent had PMS in YEARS! It was BAD PMS too - I was SUPER *****y!! Last month I started on Oral BC and since then things Ive seemed to be ok... hopefully it will stay this way!

I am late answering but I am going to anyways.
1) What is your favorite holiday show? Dolly Partin and Lee Majors star in it, I can not come up with the name of it. Maybe something like Smoky Mountain Christmas.
2) What are your goals for the new year? To get to 145.
3) Does your significant other help out around the house and if so what do you prefer them to do? (if you could choose) I am divorced so I have to do it myself, but he never did help out in the hiuse. He did the outside I did the inside.
4) What is the one food you feel "not guilty" treating yourself to since surgery?I dont dump on sugar. I get sick ,but I take a bite of anything I really want.
5) What is your food weakness and does it make you sick now?anything chocolate, if i take more than a bite or two I feel sick
6) Do you exercise less now than just post surgery? I had stopped somewhere about a month ago, my weight has stalled so I started back Monday really working out again. If fact I am so sore all over.
7) What was/is your one wow moment that you will never forget?
My favorite one is when my gd wrapped her arms all the way around me and said wow nana I can hold my hand behind your back.

I'd be OK with giving ya all this ice and cold from the SD area..but heck, could ya'all send us some heat. I teach school and recess duty is miserable when the temp is 0 with a wind chill. Twenty minutes seems more like 2 hours. YUK!
Personally, I'm not a fan of winter and now that i've lost weight, the cold seems colder. I have difficulty getting warm.

Nancy, I have problems with my period..but not the same kind of problems. I have had very irreguar periods. The first two after surgery were very spotty and had it for 2 days...than nothing...then got it again...stop...go. The third one was crampy, and heavy. The next one was hard and heavy for the first couple days, then went on for almost 10 days, but not heavy like the first two days. This past one lasted for 7-8 days...spotty at first, heavy, heavy, heavy, and then spotty. I have also experienced more PMS than ever. About a week prior to my period, I am depressed and want to eat - everything and anything. That lasts about 3 days. Then I get almost giddy and lose about 3 pounds, then comes the period. I feel like I am losing it. I don't go to doctor until Dec. 28th -maybe it will be straightened out by then.
It is good to know others are experiencing problems also. I was starting to worry. I love this site just to compare notes and talk to others who are in the same ship as I am.
LOL ...
Ride free and happy.

Nancy,
I would never have thought I could develop anemia but your right. That's why I love this board. I don't respond that much but when I do there is so much great advise. I have my blood work done next week and have an appt. on the 14th so I guess I'll find out how my blood work is then. Thanks for your reponse!
