Love the pic Karen. Now that looks like a match to the photos you showed us last month. I agree with Nancy, you look great.

Ditto, but it took me forever to get it formatted properly. The button that says you can change to the new format did not work at all.
I did have to reenter all my backgrounds from scratch though.

That's great news Jennifer. Presurgery I considered myself fairly knowledgeable about nutrition, and I have training in a health profession. It is amazing how much *new* info I have been learning in these months.
I am happy for you about the greatest week ever. I know there have been times when you felt discouraged. Keep up the great work. You'll catch up to me soon. I only seem to loose weight in my premenstrual week now. Hah, finally something positive about pms.

I agree - up the calories and cut back on carbs. For the past month or two, I've been eating 800-1100 calories pretty much every day and I'm still losing. I will go up and down on 4 pounds, and then drop them and start on the next 4. Definitely slowing down.
Great job on the exercising!

Congrats!! I have a hard time keeping carbs so low. And I will only have maybe one food item that I would consider high-carb. I can only imagine how many carbs I was getting pre-surgery. Probably about 3000 grams a day! Happy the scale is finally moving for you.

My NUT reccomends 800-100 calories for this far out so you may want to check with yours about that. My NUT never said anything about counting carbs and it was brought up in a support group that we should be at 60g max a day - I was WAY over that. Last month I lost only 1lb after the scale went up and down up and down all month. This past week I cut my carbs back to 30g, upped my protein and went to the gym faithfully and it moved 5lbs! Thats my best week ever.
As stated early I would call you NUT and see if they can offer you some advice... do you get a 6 mo f/u with yours?? I see mine in a few weeks.
Good luck!
Topic: My best week ever!!!!!!!!
The last few weeks I have been feeling discouraged because my scale has been going up and down each week. My total loss for Nov was 1lb!!!! I was starting to get nervous because I will be at 6 months out in a few weeks and thought this would be an indication of how my weight loss will be after the honeymoon period. At the last support group I attended at Presby Hosp the NUT mentioned that we should be getting a max of 60g carbs a day. The NUT I see had never mentioned about keeping an eye on carbs so I hadnt kept track. Well, after that meeting I looked at what I was eating and I was WAY over 60g carbs a day. Starting last week I drastically cut back my carbs to around 25-30g a day aaaaaaaaaaaand the scale moved 5lbs this week. This is my best week EVER!!!!!!!!! Previoulsy I had a week where I lost 4lbs and that was my heighest... that was back in my first moth post op! Since then Ive done 1-3lbs a week. YaaaaaaaaaaaaY! Had to share because I was excited for myself
In addition to watching the carbs I "went back to basics" and added more lean protein and fruits/veggies. Also commited myself to going to the gym faithfully and quit making excuses for myself. Its so great to see hard work pay off.

I'm going to jump in on the up your calories band wagon! And keep it up with the exercise. Adding weight lifting if you haven't yet will help out a lot. And make sure you are taking your measurements regularly! A lot of time the inches are going when the pounds aren't.
Good Luck!

You're too funny Lori. Though I keep feeling them myself. And my husband keeps feeling my hipbones and saying "What's that?" I was doing a monthly breast exam the other day and got nervous until I realized I was feeling a rib. Going from a overflowing 44DD to a 36BarelyB makes thing feel a little different!!!
