Sorry to hear you have been having a hard time I think a lot of us go thru the same thing as you. Food has always been a comfort and when you go thru a hard time you want what makes you feel better. Try not to get down on yourself. Its excellent that you are realizing whats happening. Try and make small goals for yourself to get back on track. Kinda like... this week I am going to focus on lowering the amount of carbs... give yourself at least a week to focus on this goal so if you have an off day you have a bunch of good days to congratulate yourself on. Then move on to the exercise and sugar. Actucally, exercise could be the best thing to start with because it releases endorphins and may help to get you feeling better Those 100 calorie packs are tempting but I stay away from them because of, as you said, carbs. I try and keep some good snacks on hand. Last night I made a snack plate of carrots, cheese/trukey 'roni on crackers and some apple cinnamon soy crisps (they are SO freakin good!!!). I find not having the stuff around keeps me from eating it Good luck to you and we are here if you need us!

Here are my stats from Thursday: Breakfast: nothing snack: nothing lunch: nothing snack: 3 doritos dinner: 2 fried wontons and 1/2 small wonton soup snack: nothing Supplements: yes Water: no Exercise: no I have GOT to do better!

Honey,you know that it isn't you. But, I know how you feel. Roll Call can be slim sometimes and I feel like maybe it is me too, but, you can't get rid of me that fast WE WILL SURVIVE BABY!!! Thursday, I swear, when I come to list what I wrote, I have a huge brain and can't even remember what I ate the day before. Well, here is goes - B: none S: none L: leftover chicken bertollini S: CANDY CANES!!!!!! D: cup sliced peaches, ham & cheese lean pocket S: sliced peaches Exercise: Killed myself at our group run walk - 1 hour Water: Excellent Supplements: oops, forgot those since I didn't eat breakfast, shame on me. MichiGirl I know how you feel. Being let go in October I know that the feeling was awful. I give you so much credit for being able to go to your job until the end of May. That is not easy. You will definintely deserve the summer off. You are going to find something even better than you have now. This is a time for your to take care of you and do exactly what you have always been dreaming of. I believe in you. If you need to talk at all, email me. I truly know how you feel. Jeanna

Nancy, I want to be sure that I answer these from now on because I think it's important to keep track of what I eat but most importantly to make sure I keep focused on using this tool to the fullest extend I can. Here's Thursday: B: Jimmy Dean Ham and Cheese Omlete S: Can of Tomato Juice L: 2 deli slices of ham and 2 deli slices of cheese, small boil of roasted calliflower D: Small bowl of Shrimp Scampie (Mushrooms instead of Pasta from the curves cookbook) S: 3oz of beef Jerky Exercise: 40 minute walk/jog video Water: about 60 ozs Supplements: excellent Alcohol: 2 glass of white wine. (Not a good choice)

Nancy- I am sure it has nothing to do with it being you and not Ben. If he is not here to do it I think it is great you took over until he comes back. I have not seen him on the CA board either. Maybe people are not writing because, like me, they are making bad choices and don't want to admit it. I am going to be honest here and have to FACE what I have eaten. Go me! B: Protein hot chocolate S: none L: corn tortilla, 1 string cheese and 1/2 a hot sausage melted together, diced canned peaches, 5 soy pretzels S: Protein hot chocolate, 4 soy pretzels, 2 mini reeses cups and one single bite snickers. D: one egg, one silver dollar size breakfast sausage & cheese omelet S: 2 sf fudgecycles, sunflowers seeds in shell, 3 Worthers hard candies. Exercise: 20 minutes on treadmill Water: About 50oz. Not very good. Supplements: Excellent! Alcohol: None!

Wow a Pharmacist. Go girl! How is the pay for a pharmacist and how long does it take to be one? I am so happy for you. I wish I had the "want" to go to school. It is not really an age thing but more I just do not have the desire to go sit in a classroom. I really wish I did and I am sure that is what I will end up doing since DH is willing to put me through school. I was reading someones story lately about their DH not allowing them to go to school so I guess I have a great DH. Hopefully the employment place will give me an apptitude test and I will discover something that floats my boat and makes me want to go to school. I am for sure going to start posting on the eating thread. If I see it in writing or know I am going to have to put it in writing then I will be more accountable. I think the worst part about my eating those cookies and junk was not that I ate it out of emotion but that I said to myself "I can eat this and then blame it on emotion". I think that is worse than just eating out of emotion because I was fully aware and like a little kid I used an excuse. I am up 3lbs since the beginning of the year and need to take that off and start back to losing. I just looked and I weighed this amount on 12/18. So no progress is not good.
