Congrats on your loss!
I had a very busy weekend - two crops, taking dd to vball practice, eye appts -- I am just about over this plague I've had and actually feeling better. Of course, the naps helped too!

Hey MichiGirl! Congrats on your success. I have 7 lbs to go to wonderland, what a joy it is, this weekend i got a tattoo on my left outer calf-a butterfly on a flower, it is to commemorate my surgery, my girlfriend said i was a butterfly emerging, i thought that was cool!teri

Hey Sierra,
It's a hard time of year to be grieving. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are obviously being mindful of your food choices, maybe more than you might have been in the past. Stress will cause you to crave more carbs, even though what you need is more water and protein (this would be true even without WLS). Keep in touch with your support network, here and elsewhere.
Take good care of yourself. I'll be thinking of you and sending positive energy your way.

Wow, that would be tough to take, even with the advance warning. Although, a part of me envies your possibilities. I wish that I had the financial means to retrain in something else. I have worked 20+ years in the mental health field. I feel that I just don't have the energy to give it what I used to. Actually, if I could get a teaching degree and then work in a school counselling position, having summers off would be just enough to recharge me again.
I definitely agree with your comments about being discriminated against because of your size. I really experienced that about a year ago. It was a horrible and humiliating experience. I am so glad to be passed that as well.
All my best to you while you sort out your nedt steps. I strongly agree with your decision to let the employment folks help you sort out what you want to be when you grow up. Good luck to you.

So sorry to hear this Cyndi. I too am glad to hear that they are safe. Don't beat yourself up too much for the eating part. We can't unload all of our coping reactions that quickly.

First the YEAH! I am happy to report that I have lost the 3-4 lbs that I put on plus one more. Only 6 more lbs to onederlad. Yipeeeee!!!!!!
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I took ds on a bike ride on Saturday. It was the exact same bike ride that my mom used to take my sister and I on. It was nice to relive those memories and create new ones too.
What did you do this weekend?

I'm sorry to hear about your notice. I think even if you know it's coming, it's always a shocker when it really does. My heart goes out with you. I think you were smart in having the surgery b/c I do think you will have a much easier time finding a job - any job - being thinner. There are preducing when hiring people of large size. Keep on track and maybe take up some new exercise habit when you feel the need to graze. Hugs to you!
