Topic: RE: Weight loss to date?
I am down 102lbs from initial consult and down 66lbs since surgery. Only 31lbs to goal!!!!! Surgery date was 6/20.
As for getting hungry... are you eating enough at each meal? Are you getting in fruits/veggies/fiber??? I have cut out 99% of processed foods and complex carbs. I eat mostly fresh foods and buy only whole grain (not enriched) products. I also stick to my food schedule and try and eat around the same time every day. I have a few snacks around/with me if I know I am going to be running around or busy so I have a back up. My hunger hasnt returned... I will get a little hungry if I go to long without eating. My NUT said because I was eating lean protein, fruits, veggies, whole grains that it was keeping my blood sugar well regulated and the fiber was keeping me fuller longer. I always make sure I am drinking when I shouldnt be eating... people at work thing I am crazy because my desk is littered with different drink bottles.

Topic: It's not me
I was paying for some Superbowl supplies yesterday with my credit card and the cashier asked to see my ID. When I showed it to her she said "That is not you". So I guess it is time to head over to the DMV and get a new picture taken. The cashier was a young girl I had never seen before. She was so nice and totally made me feel good. She was going on and on about how good I looked and what a good job I have done losing weight. I wanted to take her home and put her on the shelf next to the fridge so she could tell me that when I try to get some snacks.
What are your recent WOW! moments?

Hi Ron-
I am down 119lbs. 30lbs is from pre-surgery 6mo classes at Kaiser. I too get hungry and have right from the start. But I fill up fast. I have noticed on some days that I could graze all day long if I let myself. So on those days I try to be extra aware. I have my bad days though and I pay for them at the scale. I aim for way more good days then bad and hope it ends up at a loss at the end of the month.

Kim,
I admit that I also drink sometimes with meals, especially if the meal is dry or chewy. I also don't wait the 45 minutes before or the 2 hours after that I have read on the other boards. I have a hard enough time getting in fluid, that would mean I would never eat, or never drink (probably never drink, since I can't seem to stop eating).

Good Lord, yes.
It's been my one "I eat it and way too much but I don't care because I do good on everything else so shut up" food. Usually a few times a week. 4-5 cups at a sitting.
Whew. Good to get that off my chest.

Anna,
Yeah, I've eaten some popcorn also...again, I eat it SLOW and eat only a little bit. It is worth it...The difference is, eating it slowly, eating just a little helping, and being aware of what you are doing! Good luck darling...
