Topic: RE: Weight loss to date?
Congratulations everyone! Okay, I feel stupid...I had surgery on June 9th and have lost 65 pounds so far. I am still 13 pounds from surgeon's goal for me and 23 pounds from my personal goal. I have been stalled for a month and truly don't know how to break it. Maybe I am not eating enough. I really struggle to eat even twice a day, but I do drink at least one and sometimes 2 protein shakes every day.
Most food makes me nauseated and/or violently ill. I also noticed that my energy level is really low...I am struggling to make it through the work day. Still losing hair as well. If anyone reads this, send me some help.
Bottom line...I am still so much better off than I was 65 pounds ago.

Welcome Jennifer, sigh if only I was smart enough to get this surgery in my 20s. Anyways, it is nice to see a new face on the board. Congratulations on the fantastic weight loss.

Hi Brooke, I saw your photo and the comments you added to it. I know you are feeling 85 lbs is super slow, but I don't think it is bad at all. I hear you about grazing at home. I hate how much I do that on the weekends. You look great though. Are you feeling more energetic? That's what I find the most amazing post surgery, the weight loss is the bonus (not that I don't want to see the pounds miraculously melt away).

welcome, jen, you are doing a great job. try to avoid the carbs, the more you eat, the more your body wants. keep up the good work!teri

only in the last few months have i tried it. no problems either, i love to have a little bit at the movies and like jenn. i buy the mini bags, can't eat quite a whole one but definitely half the bag.

kim this has been one of the major adjustments for me since the surgery. i never drank with my ood but the last few weeks i have been sipping a bit here and there. funny you would mention this. i used to love to drip with my meal but now it's either food or drink but not both. don't beat yourself up over this kim just try to pay close attention and don't even have a drink fixed or by you until shortly after you eat ok. you can do this, you mentioning this reminds me to stop doing it- even just the little sips cause we need our food to sit in our pouches as long as possible.

Welcome Jennifer. You are doing tremendously well.
Cyndi. I don't know how I'd ever get my water in if I taught like you do. I feel like I'm constantly running to the bathroom now. Fortunately I drive a desk and the co-workers don't seem to mind too much.
