I belong in your June group because I have a surgery date of June 1. I have been reading everyone's posts about difficulties in getting scheduled. I have been so lucky because I have not had a bit of problems. We have Tricare Prime insurance (through the military). Good luck and God bless you all! I look forward to my journey with you! Colleen

Hi Colleen, Congrats on your date! What a great way to start out the month! I am glad that you didn't have any touble getting approved and scheduled. I didn't have touble either. It has made is so nice. I just had to wait until school was out to have surgery. Good luck with your journey! Hugs, Dee

Thanks for all your support sj La. I was finally rebooked, 4 days earlier in fact! I am scheduled for June 1, just in time to save me from some kind of deep pit of pity or sorrow (depending on your perspective). Also, having gained more weight recently, it saves me from buying bigger clothes for the summer--whew.

HI: My dr's office called May 1, 2005 to Dr. Ferries office. My 1st appt was Jan 20, 2006 and I had my surgery September 27, 2006. All is well. The staff at Red Deer is excellent and so is Dr. Ferries. He is a no nonsense dr. and believes in this surgery (Gastric bypass).

ummm I know we have used a few differant things. But can't remember the names. Have you tried contacting a rescue group for the certain kind of dog so you can get help in there?

Hi Dee and thanks for the congratulations. I really am getting anxious about the surgery. By that I mean nervous, scared, excited, doubtful, and a million other emotions that I cannot even express. I am sure that is not uncommon. With every bite of food I eat, I think will I be able to eat this after surgery? I am also worried about the 10 day liquid diet pre-op. That is really going to be tough because I still have to cook for my family. Any suggestions for coping? How are you feeling? Are you feeling the same way? I do have another lady here that will be going through the surgery 5 days before me so we will be buddies. Thanks!
