Am I the only one?

Am I the only person having surgery in June 2006?? I signed up here a few months a go and still no one else has added their name! Come on -- come out, come out, where ever you are!!

I dont have a date yet but, they told me it could be in march but I told them I would wait for june . Thats when my kids are out for the summer. So hopefully we can get to know one another.

I'm in the same boat. I'm still going through the whole process but the surgeon's office doesn't forsee any problems. If all goes well, I'm hoping for the last week in June. Since I am a teacher, that's the best time for me. What has your experience been like so far for you?

I have pacificare ins. and every thing has gone real smooth . I just got 2 refferals in the mail to do some pre-op testing and in feb. I go to my mandatory classes at ucla for 4 thursday nights in a row . I was told I have to lose 12 lbs prior to being scheduled for surgery. What about you.

I considered UCLA also but chose Dr. Powell in Pasadena, a little closer to my family in SoCal. I am not sure what he is going to tell me about what I'll need to lose. I talked to the office about a date in June and they said that should be just fine. So, we'll see!!!

Joanne, I thought I was the only one that had a surgery date in June! What a wonderful surprise to see someone else having surgery the same month. My date is June 13, 2006. I am excited and scared too. I waited to have it until June because I work at a school. My last day of school is June 12! Carol

Nope -- you are not alone -- I'm scheduled for June 19th. My doctor said it would be advantageous if I could drop some weight before the surgery. I'm joining Jenny Craig until the surgery. - Kim
