Hello everyone, I'm new at this posting game. But I am almost at my one year anniversary. I feel great. Have had a few ups and downs along the way but I am getting there. I started at 435 pounds pre-op and today I weighed in at 258. Still have a long ways to go but thank God I've made it this far. Most difficulty is watching the portions and snacking. When I feel the urge I do something sugarfee or some fatfree popcorn. Everyday is a struggle not just among myself but listening to the smart remarks from others but it worth it. If I had to do it all over again I would. I'm actively engaged in an aerobics class 3 times a week but still the weight doesn't seem to move right now. I've hit a plateau and can't get down past the 250 mark. Any suggestions.

Congratulations on how far you have come!! I've heard the best thing to do when you hit a plateua is to go back to basics and change things up. So go back to protein, protein, no/low carb, lots of water and exercise. You might try weight lifting in addition to the aerobics. When you build muscle mass, you raise your metabolism and burn more calories, even resting. Good luck!
