I had a checkup with my surgeon on Friday. He says to me.. "you're normal, see you in 12 months" Just like that lol. I have lost 81% of my excess weight so far. I wonder if I can hit the 100%..which is about 13lbs by June 20th? I have a date on May 18 to go swimming with sharks...no cage... maybe they can help out LOL Sharyn

I think you can do it! I have almost the same goal - I want to lose 15 pounds to reach my goal by June 7th (although I'd be happy with 6/20 - also my surgery date). I've been working on it diligently the last two months and have gone down (after the yo-yos) about 5-6 pounds so only have 15 more to go. It'ss only like 2 pounds a week. I'll be your buddy if you want.

Thank you Karen that's a wonderful idea! Ok.. I'll start tomorrow - I've just had a chocolate milk shake with marshmallows lol. But I will weigh myself in the morning and sign in once a week ok? A little bit of motivation goes a long way Sharyn

Wow, that's fantastic Sharyn. Make sure the sharks aim for the saggy, droppy parts you don't want anyways. Lori

What a great idea Lori! Maybe I can make some discreet slits in the wet suit for the saggy bits to hang out?

Congrats Sharyn! I have a question... What number are you basing the 100% on? My surgeon bases his % on a BMI of 22 which for me is 122, but his goal for me was somewhere in the mid to high 140s and my goal was 130-135. According to the 122 goal I'm at about 95% of the way there, but I don't plan on getting the rest of the way there unless the tummy tuck throws me over that line. Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, I started with a BMI of 37 and my surgeon's target weight goal for me was 71kgs (156.2lbs). That would just have got me in the normal range. My BMI is now 24 and I'm 67kbs (147lbs). A BMI of 22 puts me nicely in the beginning range of normal with two points to spare. That equates to a weight of 61kgs (134lbs). To be honest, if I don't loose anymore both myself and the surgeon would still be happy. So the maths may be a bit wonky but works for me lol. And I would just like to see my surgeons little printout that he gives me at each visit say 100% Sharyn
