Okay guys, For a month now I've been religiously getting up early, doing the treadmill for 30 minutes (Run/Jog/Incline), doing sit ups and push ups. Mon-Friday. I was hoping that it would get the scale moving again...but it hasn't. I keep fluctuation wtih the same couple pounds. I don't remember the last time I've actually lost.. It's been a couple months at least.... Is anybody else dealing with this? I know we've all talked about the weight loss slowing down...but am I the only one that is still dealing with this for this long? My food choices haven't been the best.. I'm a stress eater, so I have to watch it, but I'm around 1200 calories a day. (and burning 300+ five days a week exercising) I do feel much better for exercising, but I was hoping the scale would move. I'd still like to lose 30 lbs! Blessings, Kim

Hi Kim, I am right there with you. I would like to lose another 32-37 pounds. I work out with a trainer 3x a week, 30 minutes of treadmill 5x per week, and I recently started trying pilates and kickboxing classes at the gym. I haven't lost for the last few months either. I am also a stress eater and have been dealing with some tough situations lately. I called my doctor's office last week and they said to start keeping a journal again so I started yesterday. I drank more than enough water and got my protein in. I really did better with my eating throughout the day - until I ate some Cheetos with my son last night. I still lost 1/2 a pound, so that motivated me to do better today. I bought some healthy snacks so I can enjoy something too without feeling guilty. Losing the 1/2 pound made me remember what a thrill it was to get up each morning (yes I weigh myself every day) and see some positive results for all of my hard work. I really feel like I am getting my motivation back. I really think the exercise makes a lot of difference. Maybe you're losing inches and not pounds right now? Try increasing the intensity of your treadmill routine. These are things that people have suggested to me. Hope this helps -Amy

Yep, that's me - not being really good on eating, but keeping my water and exercise up. I fluctuate on the same 3-5 pounds. I don't know what to say except that I think if you keep it up, eventually the scale has to move. That or you'll be losing inches.

I came here today just to see if anyone's weight loss has drastically slowed. Mine is totally at a stand still. I've only lost about 5 lbs since October 06! I have been hitting the gym but I actually gained 2 lbs. I fluctuate all over the place. One day the scale will say 205 and the next I'm at 209. I don't eat perfectly but I eat small portions and always try to eat my protein first. I'm just gonna keep hitting that elliptical at the gym and pray that the weightloss isn't over for me I need to lose about 60 more!!!

As of today I am down 1lb this month... this is the same pound I lost and then refound so well see what happens at the enf of the month. I would suggest adding weight training to your workout routine...I just started with a trainer last week and I am hoping that will be the key to get these last 25lbs off. I felt that I didnt know how to workout since I was no longer fat... wasnt getting the same sweating and fatigue after... trainer quickly fixed that for me!! Hoping the scale moving 1lb is just a start of whats to come!!!! I am sometimes a stress eater but mostly a bored eater, this week I am going "back to basics" and going to chart everything I am eating to see if anything extra has slipped in or if I am not eating enough. Once I see on paper what my carbs are I may cut back for 2 weeks some so I get a jump start and then move back up to the 60-80g a day my nut requires. Its hard because we are so close yet so far away! From the other posts seems like this is very common!

Yep, me too. I've been struggling to get beyond this 3-4 pounds fluctuation for over 6 weeks now, and it just won't budge. I bounce between 239 and 235. Have yet to get down below 235. I have also been really good with the exercise lately. I started walking 3 miles every day at work (Mon-Thur, and sometimes Fridays) and I also do the elliptical machine for 25 minutes somedays, as well as some weight lifting on other days. I also don't make the best food choices sometimes, but still do pretty well most of the time. I get in my water most days, not every day though. My thought process was that my body was getting used to my routine and I needed to switch it up - so I started exercising everyday and making them intence work outs, thinking that would let my body know "hey! something is different...ok...I'll loose weight again". No such luck...yet. I'm hopeful the scale starts listening to my body and starts moving again. My goal is to get below 210. So I have another 25-30 pounds to loose. I'm doing everything I can do
