Anybody else experiencing a stall? I had a stall back in Nov (7 months) and ended up with a 1lb loss for the month... in Dec I lost 11 and Jan 11, last month 5lbs and this month I lost 1lb, it found me again so I am at 0 lost for the month. I checked my inches and they are the same! Just wanted to see if anybody else had the same experience? I have 25 more lbs to go to goal... so close yet so far away!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will reach my goal by 1 year out... Dr told me 150-160 was my goal so I went with 155...Id be happy to be at 160 in June! I have been following my NUTs guidelines, exercising, getting in water and vitamins etc. Im starting with a personal trainer today (so exited!) so I am hoping the change in my workout will kick start my loss. If the scale doesnt move again next Tuesday I am going to do the plateau busters diet. I am so greatful for how far Ive come so I am definately not complaining or being impatient!!! Just wanted to see if others were seeing the same thing. Im anxious to get these last pounds gone!

Hi Jennifer. Yes, I am on a stall too! I guess it is a 9 month stall. I am 25 pounds from goal too. I weigh 180 and would like to be 155. Like you, i feel so close and feel like after losing 130 pounds that I would be able to get these last 25 pounds off without many problems. I would like to lose them by my one year. But I have lost maybe 6 pounds in the last two months. I just can not seem to break the 180s. I normally don't weigh regularly but I did weigh yesterday morning and weighed 180.0. Sooo close. So I weighed this morning and it was 182! I couldn't do anything but laugh. I just can not get out of the 180s. I do try and eat really healthy. Primarily Salads and vegetables and some meat. I know I do not get in enough protein. I recently found the Power Crunch protein bars and those are sooo good and I eat two of those a day for protein. I also do not exercise regularly. I was exercising 4 times a week but in the past few months I have maybe went to the gym 5 times total. I hate the "winter blues". I am happy it is spring time now though and I hope to get more active.Of course I am very happy with my progress and if I do not lose any more weight, would be happy but it is horrible to know you are soo close to that goal!!! I haven't been feeling really well over these past couple of weeks. Really tired and weak almost and also some nasuea. So, I am going in for blood test on Monday. I may be lacking something and that might also explain my stall. So, we shall see what is going on with that Monday. It does sound like you are doing great. I am sure it will happen. Just be patient (this coming from the most impatient person in the world!).

Glad to hear I am not the only one!! I am also glad it is spring - makes me want to be outdoors! I have been slacking some on the exercise as well... been a lot of things going on in my life and I havent made myself a priority so I am very happy to be starting with the trainer. It is expensive but if Im paying for it I will definately show up because I cant afford to just throw money away!!! Ive also been dealing with being tired... started around 6 months out. My bloodwork all came back fine... B12 was on the low end but still within the norm. They switched me from Bcomplex to just B12... I havent really noticed a difference. Ive started having to drink energy drinks in the afternoon to make it thru the rest of the day and to be able to work out in the evening. They said it could be my body took longer to "suffer" from the malnutrition and thats why I am dragging now. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you to!! Seems like there are a few of us stuck in the "25lbs left to lose" boat!

Hi Jennifer, I am about 24 from my goal of 140. I keep bouncing between 166 and 164, and have been bouncing from 168 to 164 for the past month. The fit of my clothing is bouncing too. Some days I think I need smaller pants, and then oops, they fit fine again. Come to think of it, all of me is bouncing (swaying, slapping, swinging). I too am not complaining. I am the lowest I have been in 19 years. I actually fit into a size 8 pant (though other brands I am still a 10 or 12--even a 16--what's up with that $#*&!!!). If you go the plateau busters route, keep us posted about your progress. The word diet still strikes fear and avoidance to the core of my being. Lori

Ive noticed the same thing with pants... one day they seem big and the next they seem tight! I thought at first it was because of that time of the month but it just happens at random times and random days. I weigh less now than I did when I was enterting High School which is super exciting I wouldnt mind even not losing more weight and just having plastic surgery because I am happy with my body except for the xtra flab and wiggle here and there!! But I set out with a goal and want to make it! Ill keep you posted if I start the plateau buster... I dont think of it as a "diet" since its just for 10 days.. at least its not as limited as the liquid diet!

Ditto. I'm 23 lbs. from my goal. I'm losing very slowly at this point, but I'm not worried about it. As long as I'm doing the right things, I'm okay with my progress.

Hi Jenn- I am glad you posted this because it made me look at my numbers to see what I have been doing. Here they are: Jun. 6lbs lost Jul. 0lbs lost Aug. 10lbs lost Sep. 12lbs lost Oct. 8lbs lost Nov. 7lbs lost Dec. 7lbs lost Jan. 4lbs lost Feb. 4lbs lost Mar. 6lbs lost so far I thought I had done worse in Nov and Dec. than I actually did. My real problems were Jan and Feb Lately. I seem to be doing better now for this month. I can't believe I didn't lose any in July. Aug and Sept were my best months. I think the real trick to exercise is to constantly do something different. I never do the treadmill on the same speed or incline and sometimes I will turn it way up and run for a minute and then turn it down and then a few minutes later I do it again. Your body gets used to the same routine and tells itself that this is normal and keeps the body the same. I am not sure what to do about a goal weight. My legs look so skinny to me already. I am sure they are not though. I am at 193lbs and am thinking 160lbs and then get all the excess skin taken off to get to 150lbs. Of course my Dad says that is too big for 5'6". Gee thanks Dad way to smack me in the face with saying things that got me fat in the first place. Sheesh! I think you are doing great Jenn! Good lick with the new trainer. DH keeps telling me he is going to take me to the gym and show me what to do but never does. Michelle

Shame on your dad! What do guys know about weight anyways?? My "skinny" friend weighs 180 (shes 5'9") always tells guys shes like 135 and they dont know any better! Id tell your dad your goal is to have a "normal" BMI... that is more important than any number on the scale! Youd be surpised how much difference getting plastic surgery can make... my friend just had 3 rounds of it... she was 150-160 (5'7") and a size 10/12... shes now a size 6!!!!!! Not sure on her weight yet because she is still swollen from her last surgery. So far shes had her arms done, circumfrencial TT, thigh lift and a lot of lipo... shes going back for her boob job and touch ups on her arms later this year! She didnt have a lot of hanging excess skin... her arms were still huge, legs were a little saggy and her belly wasnt bad at all - I am amazed that she is now a 6.. she started at 380+lbs and was barely fitting into a size 28!
