I got approved!

I just found out today that I got approved for my Full TT with Anchor Cut! I am also getting my breast lift and augmentation! I am SO excited! My tentative surgery date is May 21st! Robin

congrats! My insurance had a written exclusion for wls so i had to self pay. i seriously doubt they pay for plastics! youre very lucky!!! I consulted with a ps and he said he would want me to wait until i was at my goal weight for a YEAR. i was like whoa. but i can see his point, in about 3 mths my stomach has shrunk up a good bit.. it might some more i hope! But my boobies are seriously deflated Hope it goes great! jen

Congrats Robin, Is your insurance covering both? I am a little suprised because I thought that most surgeons required that you wait at least 18 months after your surgery before having plastics. I guess everyone is different. Shannon

No, just my Extended TT is covered. BTW, that is a HUGE 'just'! I will pay for my BA/BL and vertical cut. It will cost me about $8100. Depending on the insurance company they have different protocals. Some require 100 pounds, 1 year out, or I even heard having an apron to your knees!! Then of course some of them will only do the panni or nothing at all! So all in all, I am very lucky and happy! Robin

I have an appointment with a surgeon in May to get the process started... when I called the other day to make the appointment they said I needed to be at goal and maintain a steady weight for 2-3 months before they would operate... from what Ive heard the earliest most will do is 1 year but they definately want you to not be in the losing phase still!

Congrats!!! That is fantastic! I have an appt with a ps in April to begin the process (and a second consult with another in May) and I just hope I'm as lucky as you. I'm assumming I'm going to have to pay for the whole thing myself. Do you mind giving us the breakdown of the costs? I'm planning on doing the TT this year (I've been at goal since Christmas) and the BL/BA maybe next year. Good Luck!

I have my first appointment in may! I cant wait. My friend just had her arms done, circumfrencial (sp) tummy tuck and a breast lift and implants... cost her $25K! Sheesh!!! Not looking forward to my quote!
