Anybody else still experiencing low energy this far out?? I had my bloodwork done in Jan and everything was within normal ranges but my B12 was on the lower end. Dr said to switch from BComplex to B12 which I am starting this week. I am wondering if that will make much of a difference. Every morning its a struggle for me to get out of bed... I was never like this before! I get home at night and I am just exhausted... I go to bed at 10am and I am asleep before my head hits the pillow. In the afternoon I am ready for a nap... I read because of the bypass we can experience sleepyness after meals but that doesnt account for waking up tried and wanting to die at the end of the day. Working out does give me some energy but only for a few hours after the workout and then I am crashing again... I can only workout in the evenings otherwise Ill be asleep at my desk. Just wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions or ideas?? I dont want to restort to energy drinks unless I have to I have been eating properly, well balanced meals and stay away from processed (fake) foods... I eat a lot of fruits, veggies, protein and water and my NUT gave me a gold star on my eating. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer, I was feeling that way for quite a while. I do find I need more sleep now than in the past. I changed from 50mcg of B12 to a pill that contains 1200mcg. That made a lot of difference. In fact, my last blood test showed my B12 was at the upper range of normal. I've heard the energy drinks are really hard on your liver or kidneys, can't remember which (and I am certainly not well educated in that department). Hopefully, it will be something simple like the B12. Congratulations on the gold star! I don't think I would fair as well with your NUT. Lori

Hi Jennifer, Sorry to hear you are feeling this way. I really think that the B12 is going to help you. I take Trader Joes 1000MCG B12 five times a week. It is one of the under the tongue little pills. I have read many people who said the same thing as you and when they upped the B12 they felt lots better. You might need to get B12 shots if the pills don't work. I hope it all works out for you. Michelle

Ive been getting 1000mcg of B12 but its in a liquid Bcomplex with B6... I just bought sublingual B12 1000mcg today with folic acid so hopefully that will help!! I was hoping I would get a B12 shot when I saw the surgeon but they said no need

I have been very tired lately for the past couple of weeks. Somewhat tired before that even though all my labs were good. In the past two weeks, I get home from work exhausted and go to bed as soon as I can (averaging between 7pm and 8pm). I sleep straight through until 5:45 am when I get up. And many days, I close and lock my office and lay down for a 15 minute power nap at work. I'm that tired. I've been taking 500 mg of B12 sublingual daily (my doc said 1500 mg per week but it's easier for me to do daily). Maybe, I'll try morning and night and see if that helps. Good luck! If you find some reason for your low-energy, please post. I'm looking for ideas as well.

Dear Jennifer, Ditto! Me too. I wish I had the answer instead of just joining in to agree with your post, but I don't. I will up my B-12 too and will be checking back to your post for other good suggestions. Congrats on your gold star! At least you know that you are doing everything possible to stay healthy. Sher Lo
