My feet shrunk!

Okay DH surprised me with a romantic weekend getaway this upcoming weekend, I started to get things together,I bought a gorgeous ****tail dress and was going through my shoes to match up,well,I pulled out a pair of heels and they are too big!! tried another pair...toooooo big.....I wore a size 9 and now an 8.I admit,it is a bit heartbreaking in a way,I LOVE my shoes....I have a several pair that I paid over $300 a pair for oh well...DD is happy she just aquired a huge shoe collection! Who would think our feet shrink too? I usually wear sneakers and never really noticed it all that much....... I guess I have an "excuse" to go shoe shopping tomorrow!! anyone else have shrinking feet syndrome??? LOL!!! Nanc

Hey Nancy, me too! I have to admit that I am not so disappointed though. My feet were really wide and I had to order shoes online in the last year before WLS. I have a bit more luck pulling stuff off the shelf now. I am fitting into shoes that I wore a few years ago. Hmmm, it could be bad for the gents if all "our" body parts shrink. I guess this has good and some not so good points.... I am only bummed because of the amount of $$ I have spent on shoes...it is ridiculous,but when I love something I buy it! I never realized that my feet would shrink ya know....but I will say the weight loss is worth EVERY penny loss...there is nothing more precious than being happy and healthy and ALMOST SKINNY!!LOL.... and BTW...... Lori!!! you are WAY TO FUNNY! ............not even going "there" at the end of that post............. Thanks I needed that chuckle today! HUGS! Nanc

I've noticed it. I haven't lost a full shoe size but have noticed that some boots I have are pretty loose. And some pumps that I used to wear years ago and in the past few years, I had stopped wearing b/c they hurt my fit sooo bad -- are now comfortable again. Yeah, the other body parts are shrinking also, much to my husband's dismay. I'm thrilled though! Now if I could just get out of this 38long bra...

I went from a 10-101/2 down to a 9-9/12... I was talking about it in a support group and one of the pre-ops almost fell out of her chair. She said shes *only* been buying shoes since she is having surgery soon - oops!!!

My feet shrunk a TON! I went from a 10W to an 8 1/2 and some times an 8! Most of that happened in the beginning though. As far as the male anatomy goes, from what I understand, guys gain an inch for every 30 lbs lost!!! Guess our guys can report their weight loss in inches gained now!!! 120lbs lost looks WAY more impressive as 4 inches GAINED!
