Hi Everyone, I am am so sick with a cold! what do you all take for colds now that you have had this surgery? I am running a fever of 102 for 2 days now and taking tylenol which helps the sore throat, but the congestion, runny nose and cough is horrible. Plus the fact that the tempratures dropped (last week near 70) to low 20's and wind chills in the single digits..I am frozen! Okay I am gonna stop my whining now........... advise welcome!! Thank ya'all! Nancy

You poor thing!!! I bet you are miserable. I would think that Tylenol Cold would be OK for us to take. I haven't had a cold since surgery so am not sure. Nyquil would probably have too much sugar in it. I hope you feel better soon. Curl up with some warm protein drink and read a good gossip magazine. MichiGirl

Nancy, I feel your pain!! I feel exactly the same way. My dr. said I could take benodryl cough and cold. It does help some but I still feel bad. I hope you feel better soon. Shannon

I take Tylenol PM to help me sleep so that I can heal that way. Also I take the Tylenol cold, but very cautiously. I've had a cold drag for quite a while now...teaching lends itself to that. It is a "pain" to handle. Hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself. Love, Cyndi

Aww Nancy I hope you feel better soon. I called my pharm and ask him what could I take when I was sick, he helped me find meds I could take.

Oh, I hope you feel better. I had a cold/allergies that progressed to a sinus infection. I got Amoxicillian and some decogestive pill. They apparently worked and absorbed fine b/c I'm better. I didn't think I could take pills. I took the new Triaminic cold strips last month. They knocked me on my butt but relieved my symptoms.
