Wanted to see where lightweights were at this point out? How much lost and how far from goal? I know we shouldnt compare to others but I just like to get an idea. I am 57lbs down and 45lbs from goal. Sometimes I feel like I am right where I should be and other times I feel like I am behind. Dec I lost 6lbs and in Nov 1lb so I have been feeling a little disappointed. Of course overall I am VERY happy with where I am now from 6 months ago!! I am working hard to lose these 45lbs before my 1 year anniversary!

Hi Jennifer, I know its hard not to compare yourself to others but I do the same thing and I am curious just as you are to find out how everyone else is doing. I started at 260 pounds and now weigh 175. Total loss of 85 pounds. It blows my mind to write this. I have about 25 pounds to go. At 150 I will be in a "Normal" range. I hope to be at goal at 9 months out. But I'll take whatever comes. I really need to start toning and working on those problem areas. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Keep up th good work and Happy New Year! Karen

Day of surgery, I weighed 284, I now weigh 185, so that's an 100 pound lost in nearly seven months. Funny thing is, sometimes I feeel soooo fat still......

I'm down 68.5 pounds from 246.5. I had Lapband surgery. I am now 178 pounds. I don't have a goal...I didn't discuss it with my doctor or myself. I really don't know. The minute I reach 150 I will be in uncharted waters for me. I don't remember when and if I was that weight even as a teen. I wonder how you stop losing - other than opening up the Band some more and that for sure will cause weight gain. Effi

Hi Effi, Just wanted to respond to your 'how you stop losing weight' comment. Yup.. it's about not filling the band. That's what gives us control over the weight loss. It's also 'hoped' that by that time we have learned more appropriate eating habits and portion sizes. I'm down around 60lbs from 216lbs. Sharyn

At 303, I wasn't a lightweight, but I still thought I would post and let you know how great I think you all are doing. If you think back, when was the last time you lost that much weight...EVER. I remember at 19 I lost 100 lbs, but did it through annorexia (sp) and bullimia. I also worked out excessively (5 days a week, 3-4 hours/day****pt it off for 3-4 years until I took fertility drugs to get pregnant...then I started gaining and gaining... It feels good to see the 100's again. I started at my heaviest weight of 312-316, last Christmas. Was at 308 at first consultation with doc, 303 on surgery. I am now around 197...feels great. Loss has slowed down, but I am not working out like I should, and water is sooooo hard for me to get in. I am working really hard to do things right this time. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN....
